Farm View Cottage is a sweet two bedroom one bath small home that sits on a knoll overlooking mountains and our pastures. The cottage offers you privacy and a quiet place to relax. The location finds you just seven miles from Asheville, five to Black Mountain, and three miles from Warren Wilson College. You are close to hiking trails, local breweries and an eclectic choice of Asheville eateries. Biltmore Estate is 20 minutes away. For longer visits there are nearby grocery and pharmacies. The space The cottage has a great front porch for drinking morning coffee, reading or watching the farm animals in the pasture. There is a bench and two rockers on the porch. Farther down the lane is a pasture where you can sit by the shady stream or dangle your toes in the cold mountain stream. We are a working farm with a sawmill and a firewood yard. I raise Norwegian Fjord horses, donkeys, sheep, chickens and Border Collies. We ride and drive our Fjords with carts and carriages. Our sheep produce lovely fleeces that we sell to local spinners, weavers, felters and fiber artists. I spin and needle felt with our wool. We enjoy sharing information about our farm with visitors. We always have fresh eggs available. Guest access The cottage is on a quiet lane which makes for nice walks. We also have a large pasture near the house which we keep mowed so you can walk thru the field to see/sit the fast moving shady stream. Other things to note We do ask that you do not climb on the fences or open any closed gates. We do have animals in various fields and their safety is important.
