Elijah in the Wilderness Bunk Bus *Relax + Camp*
This bus looks like a piece of history from the outside-we left it wild with chipped paint- and a cozy bunkhouse from the inside. This bus served as a church bus, then a temporary home to a neighboring pastor while he built his hand hewn cabin and church. We’ve re-purposed materials from our local resale shop to give this place a vintage, lived-in vibe. Everything from a vintage sink and table, to a branch with lights taken right from the woods! The space **IF STAYING DURING WINTER*** We will not have water turned on for winter stays, due to freezing pipes. It will be just a bit more RUSTIC, but plenty of FUN for campers!! You will need to bring your own jugs of drinking water or handwashing water. And baby wipes if you want to get cleaned up. There is a porta potty nearby as usual, and space heaters, but plan to pack as though you were going camping with extra warm things for yourself. ***THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING** Whether you’re in the area for a trip to local climbing rocks, Noccalula Falls, or just want to camp...but wanna skip the tent. This is a place for you. We have set up this vintage style bus with three single beds, an efficiency kitchen and a seating area. You can spread out at the community-shared deck with picnic tables, and use our outdoor shower to cool off on a hot day. This is camping at its best, so a porta- potty will be available for you to use! Guest access Nomad’s Land is a travelers retreat with multiple units that we rent out on Airbnb. We are a Christian community that houses both residents and volunteers. We have a garden and chicken coop on the property, as well as a community space in the barn. This is not open to guests currently during the pandemic, but we hope to open it again in the future seasons. We have space to build a fire out in an open field across the red bridge, And you can simply ask us if you’d like to borrow a charcoal grill. The deck is on a first come first serve basis to our other guests that are staying nearby. There is also an outdoor shower and Porta potty close to your unit that will be shared by the neighboring guests. Please just give a holler to make sure it’s not in use! Other things to note We are a sober Christian community, So our space is drug-free and we request that all alcohol is kept between you and your guests. We are happy to host families with children and single travelers alike! We are also pet friendly and have animals on the property. Very limited cell phone reception and poor Wi-Fi reception from this location. If you want to have service you will need to walk up to the barn porch. Feel free to sit there and use your phone or laptop. A lot of people enjoy unplugging! But if you need to even better WiFi, there are cafés and coffee shops within just a few minutes drive.
