Welcome to the Historic Brower House! We are Dan and Cheri Gieski and we bought this 1924 English Tudor with the hope of fixing it up and sharing it as a unique get-away on the Mississippi. We live on-site with our two pups, Brower and Lolli, and when we're not working, we spend our time on the endless projects an old home provides. The space is yours to enjoy. Unless you're up for a chat, we mostly stay busy and out of your way! You can't beat the view of the river from this room! Nice room for someone traveling solo. Comfy full-size bed and a 32" wall mounted television with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. There's a microwave, Keurig, and mini-fridge in the room. The bathroom is a Jack-n-Jill, which means it is shared with another unit, but there is the ability to lock out the adjoining room. We'll let you know when and if the adjoining room is booked, otherwise it's yours alone! If you're willing to venture out, enjoy the expansive porch overlooking the grand Mississippi. Sit outside around the firepit. Throw a fishing line into the river or take a kayak across the river to the famous Munsinger Gardens. Access the home with a touch key pad, and your bedroom door has a lock box with private key to your room. There's also a deadbolt and swing lock on your room door. We invite you to enjoy the living room, porch, and outdoor spaces at your leisure. The porch is our favorite because there are wall-to-wall windows and beautiful cypress beams. Enjoy the sunrise and a cup of coffee from one of our floating sky-chairs. No worries: the dogs are super friendly. They might greet you at the door begging for belly rubs and/or a game of tug. When we're away from home they are privately kenneled. Please note: only ONE car per booking. We have dedicated parking for ONE car per room. On street parking is limited so if you have 2 cars, please park in the ramp in downtown St. Cloud and Uber or Lyft to the house There is 3 available units. I will be present, but constantly aware you want comfort and away from the owner. If you need anything, I love customer service. If I don’t know, I can’t fix it. Share the water toys. Others may also want a turn. We are next to Saint Cloud State University. Although it's a quiet campus, we have video surveillance around the perimeter of the home, and also in the common areas (porch, living room, foyer, stairwell, laundry) for security. This home also has two other Airbnb rooms available inside, and a rustic tiny home outside. If this room is booked, or not quite what you were looking for, you might consider checking out the other spaces. 2 Kayaks, 2 paddle boards, a canoe, a paddle boat, and four bicycles are available on a first come first serve basis. We are steps away from St Cloud's Scenic Riverwalk which also links to Beaver Island Regional Trail. We are also within walking/biking distance of downtown St Cloud (approx 6 blocks) with all kinds of good food and entertainment.
