The woodwork of this Bungalow stands testimony to the skillful artisans from Kerala known for their expertise in Carpentry. It also replicates the ornate wooden pillars and high beam structures of traditional Kodava family homes called Ain manes which the Coorgs honour with much pride. This home reflects the rich culture and heritage of the kodavas especially their warm hospitality which you will experience at this beautiful home. It has two attics on top . The bigger attic was used to store their agricultural produce, also like a big store house. The smaller attic above the kitchen was used by the lady of the house to store and preserve her fruits, pickles, sweet meats and her Homemade barrels of wine. Interestingly, there is a big granary built in solid wood which could store at a time about 350 quintanls of paddy. This Bungalow has 6 bedrooms , 4 big bedrooms with attached washrooms and two smaller rooms with washrooms near the corridor. A comfortable lounge and a drawing room makes this ancestral home a reminder of the years gone by. Keeping with the tradition an old fashioned dining room and a kitchen which dishes out some gourmet marvels to complete your stay. A typical old bath room called ‘Gudda’ built in the old style with a big iron cauldron for hot water from firewood makes for a health friendly bath with the aroma of fired wood. The Bungalow is surrounded by pretty flowers and surrounded by coffee estate and overlooks a breathtaking panoramic view of green fauna with two small lakes. One can enjoy the peace and solitude around and while entering the house a sense of positivity and calm will engulf you. Come and experience this beautiful rejuvenation, watch the passing clouds while you listen to the song of the chirping birds. Sardar Bahadur's Heritage Bungalow
