This is a converted “Themed” 1972 Gillig School Bus privately parked w/ a Comfortable Queen bed, New Full Bathroom, new interior paint, brand new carpet, vanity, dining table, Fireplace, TV, Xbox, Full kitchen with stove, refridge, oven, microwave and dishes, linens included. It is connected to City Water/Power. Tankless hotwater system. You will have full use of a shared firepit, BBQ, Covered space, and shared Laundry for long term quests. The bus is fenced in all the way around and has a small private sitting area. All PETS (dogs only no cats please they claw on the leather couches and carpet) MUST BE approved prior to booking with owner and must be bathroom trained. They must be socialized with other dogs because there are two dogs that live on property or kept in your private fenced area. There is a $10 per night per pet. Add pet as a person when booking. Please note we have birds in the shared backyard in a separate fenced in area as well as Koi in the pond. You will be responsible for watching your dogs when in that area and you should clean up after them in both outdoor areas as well. We provide poop clean-up tools and garbage can for disposal. If you require a second person please contact owner prior to booking. No third party bookings are allowed this is an AirBnB policy. Owner requires acknowledgement of all house/property rules prior to booking. There is a shared indoor private entry basement Laundry Room (Scheduled laundry days (Monday or Thursday) with AirBnB guest and property owner. You will need to provide your own laundry supplies please. Only long term (more than 7 nights) tenants are allowed to use the laundry one day a week. Short term tenants need to use laundry mat down the road. Laundry hours are between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM out of respect for basement tenant. There is a pond with Koi, a domestic bird sanctuary, a covered outdoor covered lounging shed for guests to enjoy until 10:00 PM. Please keep in mind the bus is an RV. There are quirks about RVing it so please don’t expect it to compare to a house. It has an RV toilet that uses only RV/Marine grade TP. Absolutely no Deming items can go in the toilet. You Can not pour grease down the sinks ever. I provide a grease jar for my guests to use. It will destroy the holding tanks. When it rains you will hear it. You will have WiFi but not enough to stream high def TV shows…. There is no cable TV but there are DVDs. It has an RV refrigerator that is not frost free so you need to keep it latched and for long term guests you may need to defrost it once or twice. There is a space heater and a electric fireplace that is used for heating in the winter and In the summer there is a residential window AC unit and a fan. Also please note: the bus has a lot of windows that are covered for privacy. Since there are a lot of windows you will hear some traffic and neighborhood birds as well as our little ones that will talk back to the neighborhood birds. PLEASE NOTE: There are dogs on the property that share the grassy area of the yard and the front deck space so you must be an animal lover. I will meet you at the gate when you check in to make introductions. The bus is located in its own private gated area so you will have complete privacy and you have a pass through gate to enjoy the shared outdoor spaces. There is a dog park less than a mile away and lots of great restaurants nearby. Close to hospital and shopping. Enjoy walking trails, hiking, lakes, salt water activities. LOCATION: Sedro-Woolley is known as the "Gateway to the North Cascades" because it is located on the western edge of the majestic Cascade Mountain Range in northwest Washington State. It is situated north of Seattle, Washington and south of Bellingham, Washington on Highway 20, along the banks of the Skagit River. In 1884, Mortimer Cook brought his family to the Skagit Valley from California. He bought and cleared 34 acres along the Skagit River, near what is now Riverfront Park. He ran a general store there, opened a shingle mill and was the town's first postmaster. Cook wanted to name the town after himself, but learned that Washington Territory already had a town named "Cook." He then proposed the name "Bug," in honor of the large mosquito population, but his wife didn't care for it, nor did fellow settlers. He settled on the name "Cedra," the Spanish word for cedar; somehow, the name became distorted into "Sedro," which stuck. In 1890, Philip A. Woolley purchased 84 acres just north of Sedro, where he founded the town of Woolley; he died there and is buried in Sedro-Woolley's Union Cemetery. The two towns developed a rivalry and did not merge until 1898. The town of Woolley was flourishing, with a growing population and many businesses, including a coal processing plant employing approximately 2000 people. Key to the development of the area were the three railroads serving the towns of Sedro and Woolley. The Northern Pacific, originally the Seattle, Lake Shore and Eastern, ran north to south; the Great Northern ran east to west, connecting downriver towns with the wooded areas along the upper Skagit; and the Fairhaven and Southern had its terminus in Sedro, at Cook's Wharf. P.A. Woolley made a fortune supplying ties for the GN; he also prevailed against his rival, Cook, to have the NP depot built in his town. The railroads contributed to the area's prosperity as local merchants catered to the needs of travelers visiting the area on the trains. In 1891 and 1893, Woolley suffered two major fires, which severely curtailed its growth. Both towns were also struggling through the economic woes of the time, and it became clear that both of their interests would best be served by a merger. However, neither town was willing to give up its name. After much spirited debate, "Sedro-Woolley" became the official name of the newly merged town, which was incorporated December 19, 1898. The town is deeply connected to its history through the descendants of its founding families and through many historical buildings, such as the Bingham mansion, which was owned by one of the original residents of Woolley in 1890. You will have one assigned parking spot in front of Garage next to the bus outside of the fully fenced yard. Easy bicycle rides and public bus stop right down the road. You will be the only person with access to the bus during your stay unless you are an extended stay guest... I will need to start the bus 1x a month and add propane occasionally to the tanks. I will also need to empty the greywater and blackwater tanks weekly unless you choose to take care of those items yourself. All outside spaces within the fenced in area are shared with homeowner and other Airbnb guests. You will have full use of BBQ Grills, Utensils, Ice Chests, Games (Ladder Ball, Cornhole, Horseshoes, Bauchi Ball, Firepit, etc) All amenities must stay on property and returned to where they were found when done using them in the same condition you found it. Firewood is not included but Bundles are sold by host for your use. I will have very limited interaction with the guests unless we find ourselves enjoying the firepit, she shed, or relaxing by the pond. For extended stay guests more than a few days there will be a shared laundry schedule in place. Other than that you may see me in the backyard planting flowers, watering plants, playing with the dogs, or on the shared deck from time to time. My dogs will be in and out on the side of the fence with the Firepit/Hot Tub. Keep in mind that this is a bus, it uses propane that needs to be changed/filled. It also has blackwater and greywater tanks that the owner will need to empty at least 1x a week. The refrigerator/freezer is an older RV fridge so it will frost up so long term guests may want to defrost it weekly. To conserve propane you should shut off furnace each time you leave. I am in City Limits but my immediate neighbors are county. There is livestock and flocks all around us. We have golf courses, great restaurants, hiking, lakes, wonderful walking, biking, horseback riding trail right down the road. There is a bus stop right down the road for most places in Skagit County. But a car is needed for hiking and saltwater activities. We do have great walking trails and bike trails. Please read and acknowledge house rules prior to booking. No other AirBnB or guest will have access to the bus or your small outdoor space during your stay but you will share outside spaces within the fenced in area and the laundry room. The garage, owners upstairs home, basement bedrooms, and items marked owners private space are off limits please. The owner will need to start the bus 2x a month, empty greywater and blackwater tanks weekly (usually on Saturday or Sunday). Owner will try to coordinate with you prior to needing to enter bus to start it and when Blackwater tank needs to be emptied.
