Parking is, of course, free at the back of the farm, next to our guesthouse. Come visit us and enjoy our low-mountain climate, the beautiful fields, and forests. Go hiking, biking, and walking. The Frankenwaldhof is located at an elevation of 630 meters in the Obersteben district—in the immediate vicinity of the Bavarian State Spa Bad Steben. After just a ten-minute walk, you’ll find yourself in the spa center around the spa park and thermal baths. Surrounded by lush green meadows and abundant nature, every season in the Frankenwald Nature Park has its own special charm. Eco-friendly Energy Concept: The Frankenwaldhof guesthouse and the farm buildings of the Biolandhof are heated with wood chips sourced from our own forest and neighboring spruce forests. This allows us to save approximately 15,000 liters of heating oil equivalent per year and utilize a renewable energy source from the region, which goes hand in hand with the maintenance of our forests. Over the years, several photovoltaic systems have also been installed on our farm roofs. In total, we generate more than twice the amount of electricity than we actually consume on the entire farm. And should the sun not be shining over the Frankenwald, you can rest assured—even the electricity we purchase is 100 percent green energy from hydropower. Additionally, we illuminate our guesthouse with LED lighting.
