El Salvador de La Torre is a large apartment with two bedrooms, 1 double and 1 queen, kitchen, living room, full bathroom and large outdoor terrace covered and equipped with garden furniture; it has a private garden with barbecue. Sleeps 4. In 2 rooms with the possibility of 2 more people in extra beds in the living room. Equipped with all large and small appliances, plus Wi-Fi, kitchenware and complete linen. Possibility of a crib The space The "La Torre" rural apartments consist of four rural houses in Luarca, Valdés, and are located in a strategic place in Asturias. Gamones is on a small hill in the middle of nature, a 5-minute walk from the neighboring village of Trevías, where you will have all the basic services at your fingertips: health center, shops, pharmacy, banks, cafes, etc. We are halfway between two of the most beautiful fishing villages in western Asturias: Luarca and Cudillero are 12 and 15 minutes respectively from the rural houses of La Torre. Our location is optimal not only to get to know the west and the rest of Asturias (Luarca, Cudillero, Puerto de Vega, Tapia de Casariego, Somiedo natural parks, Fuentes del Narcea, Picos de Europa, Covadonga lakes, etc.) but also to get to know Galicia (Playa de las Catedrales, or the high estuaries of the Mariña Lucense), which are half an hour away by car. Guest access Next to our rural apartments is the recreational area "La Torre", equipped with a playground, tennis and indoor soccer courts, a social area, green areas with tables and benches, a chapel in honor of Santa Clara, patron saint of the town. Luarca, the capital of the Valdés council, known as the White Town of the Costa Verde, has a large fishing port of the most outstanding in western Asturias and numerous hotel establishments since much of the year this town stands out for tourism. As well as numerous commercial establishments that give life to the Villa and the Council of Valdés. In Luarca we must mention, among others, the Aula del Mar museum in which 8 giant squid of up to 13 meters are exhibited among other species. Also admirable to see are large buildings such as Casa Guatemala or El Palacio de Los Marqueses de Ferrera, as well as our cozy beaches. Even more so in the middle of August, which are the great festivals of Rosario and San Timoteo. In Luarca we cannot forget the illustrious Severo Ochoa, a native of this town, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine in 1959. He was always greatly admired. The last years of his life he resided here in La Villa with his wife Carmen, today they both rest together in the beautiful cemetery of Luarca with its ocean views. The Valdés Council forms a great landscape with rivers, mountains and the sea. It is worth noting that prehistoric remains have been found on its beaches and protected landscapes.
