Domus Polymnia, comfy apt with views and jacuzzi!

Domus Polymnia is a carefully restored, traditional stone-built villa located in the heart of village Spili. The property can accommodate up to 8 people and offers great views of the surrounding area and mountains. The space Welcome to Villa Domus Polymnia! This house has been in my family since 1935 when it was originally bought by my grandparents. After many years, in 2009, I decided to renovate it and transform it into a vacation house. The house is located in the heart of the picturesque village Spilli, 28km south-east of Rethymno town. Layout Exterior A narrow street leads the guests from the main square to the upper part of Spili village and to the wooden entrance of Domus Polymnia. A lovely courtyard opens in front of you as you enter. The courtyard offers access to the ground floor of the residence as well as the first floor after climbing some stone steps. Villa Domus Polymnia Layout: Ground Floor: dining area with fireplace, kitchen, bathroom(bathtub) First Floor: double bedroom, double bedroom with en suite bathroom Interior Ground Floor The house comes with an open plan kitchen which is fully equipped with all the appliances our guests may need during their vacations( dishwasher, oven, electric stove, microwave, fridge with freezer, kettle, coffee maker, toaster , dishes and cutlery, cooking utensils). A big dining table with a wooden sofa and a bench are there between the kitchen and the stone-built fireplace. In the dining area you can also find a flat screen smart TV with Netflix subscription. High-speed Wi-Fi access is also availble throughout the property. The main bathroom of the house is also located on the ground floor and has a bathtub with a Jacuzzi. A washing machine and a hairdryer are also available in the main bathroom. First floor An internal stairway leads to the first floor where the two bedrooms of the house are located. The master bedroom features a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a cabin shower. The second bedroom has two single beds that can be joined as one double bed. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned and have flat-screen TVs. The master bedroom opens to a spacious veranda with a pergola, a dining table and BBQ facilities. The veranda is also accesible from the ground floor by climbing some stone steps. Our guests can relax here and enjoy the breathtaking views to the surrounding mountains. Guest access Guests will have the entire property to their private use and access to all areas. Other things to note Since 01/01/2024 all guests that stay at short-term rentals must pay tax for climate change. In this property, the tax is 0.5€ / day for November to March and 1.5€ / day for April to October. This amount must be paid separately and is not included in the cost of stay.
