We would like to rent our home with someone for a negotiated time. The Island in Puget Sound is 15 miles long x 5 miles (widest spot). 15 min ferry ride from Seattle to island of 11,000 The space Approx. 1,600sf - 3 bedroom, 1 office/sun room, 1-¾ bathrooms, large open Living/Dining/Kitchen area, fireplace, vaulted ceilings w/ clearstory windows, gas-forced air heating, washer/dryer, deck/porch, Sun room, 2 raised garden beds (concrete), fenced back yard, 2nd floor deck from Mstr Bedroom, gas stove, water heater and dryer Guest access Will have access to the entire home other than the 800sf ADU on west side and storage shed with our personal belongings.. Other things to note Wonderful community just outside of Seattle. Approx. 50% commute to Seattle & Tacoma for work. Good schools, strong sense of community. Visit the Vashon Chamber of Commerce website for a listing of things to do on the island. There are art , garden, solar, farm tours; Strawberry Festival; wineries, a distillery; bike, walking and equestrian trails, equestrian events, fishing, hiking trails, beach combing, picturesque Point Robinson Lighthouse tours, Island Center Forest or Dockton Park Trails for mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking or jogging. Kyaks can be rented at Burton Beach, and the water there and at Dockton Park gets warm and is very swimmable in the summer. Horses can be boarded nearby, riding lessons or trail rides can be arranged and riding on the beach is wonderful. The island has a very strong arts community (potters, painters, sculptors, glass blowers, musicians playing multiple types of instruments from celtic to rock to blues, writers, photographers, and on) Events and classes include: painting, photography, drawing, ceramics, trail rides, massage, facials and day spa services, kayaking, boating, performances of all types.
