Island View is a spacious and welcoming detached holiday cottage in the conservation village of Crail, with views of the Firth of Forth from the front of the cottage, and uninterrupted views of the countryside from the back. From the doorstep, you can explore this charming village with its picture postcard old harbour, award-winning sandy beach and quaint lanes filled with galleries, potteries, cafes, restaurants and shops. Enjoy freshly caught lobsters and crabs (in season) at the harbourside, and locally caught fish is also available. Regular boat trips run from Anstruther to the Isle of May, home to an incredible array of wildlife and sea birds, or perhaps join the Fife Coastal Path for many miles of coastal walks to sandy beaches and old fishing villages. Just a short drive along the coast is St Andrews, with historic buildings, excellent selection of restaurants, cafes and shops, and of course its championship golf courses. Famous for golf, the area has around 50 golf courses in the Kingdom of Fife. Crail boasts 2 of them; Balcomie Course, the seventh oldest course in the world, and Craighead Links. Beach 400 yards.
