Exclusive use Georgian manor house in village

In the heart of the Somerset countryside, Bowlish House is a Grade II* Listed Georgian Stately Home. The house is perfect for groups of friends looking to get away for a celebration or just a relaxing weekend away & especially popular as a lux hen party space for decadent soirees. Recently refurbished, featuring stylish artwork, ceramics & vintage/antique furniture. There are 8 bedrooms & 6 en suites plus an apartment with an additional sleeping 6 which will be available in the Spring The space Bowlish House combines a feeling of grandeur in a homely, warm setting with light and airy spaces that become cosy nooks in the evenings, a gorgeous space for a get-together to relax & enjoy. A magnificent Georgian mansion of historical interest including a family crest, urns and pillars. The ground floor opens up to a grand hallway, a luxurious lounge area, library/bar, ballroom & orangery where you can enjoy lazy brunches & dinner party's. The Pantry is ideal for simple meals and has a hob, an over and a small fridge. Our lovely orangery leads out to our pretty garden & patio area which you can use for dining, drinks and sun bathing. The bedrooms can all be found on the first floor. with an additional two attic rooms. We are also creating an apartment in the attic which will sleep an additional 6 guests (perfect for members of the party who would like to retreat a little earlier than the rest). Because the house is grade II* listed unfortunately there is no lift but we can organise for one of the social spaces on the ground floor to be a sleeping space with accessible WC. If required, we have 2 rollaway foldout beds suitable for children that can be placed in the larger bedrooms. Bowlish House is located opposite the local pub with other public houses, bars & eateries within a short journey. Various towns/city's can be reached very easily by car or public transport (Shepton Mallet, Wells, Frome, Bruton, Bath). Vintage Afternoon Tea's, Grazes and Breakfast Hampers can be arranged for a fee, created by our award winning in house caterers, please ask for more info. Guest access Guests can enjoy the whole House, private gardens & patio dining area. We have a private owners flat above the garage which may be of use during your stay but it has its own access so you will have complete privacy. Other things to note Please note that we operate quite times outside of the property from 11pm - 8am. Maximum no. of guests must not exceed the booked/agreed number at all times please. We have hosted lots of gorgeous weddings, celebrations & events so please do contact us if you would like to discuss holding a special celebration at Bowlish House.
