Description
Welcome to The Woolly Bugger Inn! Our cabins, tiny homes, and suites are tucked into the woodsy Big Thompson Canyon just minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park. The space The Blue Spruce Suite is one of our most budget-friendly offerings, located in an old-school, motel-style, five-unit row of adjoining suites. Suite includes a queen bed, barebones bathroom (small shower, toilet, and small vanity), medium fridge, microwave, and coffee station. Your private deck space includes views of the river, a gas grill and a private two-person hot tub. You’ll have full access to your suite and our communal outdoor areas. Pet-friendly (see below for pet fee and policy) and perfect for 1-2 guests. Enjoy! About The Woolly Bugger Inn: We’re nestled along a quarter-mile private stretch of the (highly fishable!) Big Thompson River, with plenty of space to spread out and relax on our forested, five-acre grounds. The vibe here is cozy, laid-back, and old-school, with a mix of historic rental quarters and newer, more modern dwellings to choose from. We’re five minutes from downtown Estes Park and ten minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. Guest access You'll have full access to your suite, as well as our grounds, private riverfront (for catch and release fishing), communal fire pits, and decks. Enjoy! Other things to note Before you book, read on to ensure our quirky property is the right fit for your getaway: Pets: We love hosting dogs! If you plan to bring your furry friend(s), please add them directly to your reservation at booking, at which point the pet fee ($20/dog/night) will be calculated directly into your trip total on the booking screen. Then, please shoot us a message with their name(s) and how many you plan to bring along (two max), and we’ll send you our pet policy and information. See “Additional Rules” for more. The Vibe: This is a small, rustic, budget-friendly room that shares a wall with the neighboring suite. When we say "historic,” we mean historic—some of our digs stretch back a century, and sometimes, our “old-school” shows. This can mean drafts when it’s cold out, some summer heat, and you’re bound to see an occasional four-to-eight-legged friend around the property. We like to think of ourselves as an extension of the Front Range ecosystem, so it’s all part of the fun! WiFi & Cell: WiFi is limited throughout our canyon. We offer the best we can, but don’t expect to Zoom into meetings (or much of anything, internet-wise). Cell service is limited on the property at this time, so try to pull up your cabin and check-in instructions before you arrive. Please also note that weather can impact satellite TV strength in the area, as WiFi coverage has to be beamed through satellite dishes. Safety: For the safety of our guests, we maintain outdoor security cameras to monitor wildlife visits, fire risks, hazardous elements, and other safety protocols (public spaces only). Please note our property is wild and rugged, with cliff features, boulders, slopes, uneven surfaces, river access, and regular wildlife visits (bear, elk, wild cats, and more). Use caution around any natural terrain, understand and follow wildlife safety practices, and abide by our pet, fire, hot tub (if your unit includes one), and on-site rules as posted in your cabin guide. Hot tubs [if applicable] are for use at your own risk and not protected by a gate; the hosts are not responsible for injuries resulting from the use of the hot tub. Guests shall hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Owner against any and all claims of personal injury or property damage or loss arising from the use of the property, inclusive of but not limited to the house, hot tub, fire pits, etc., regardless of the nature of the accident, injury, or loss. Summer/Early Fall: This is the high season! Note that certain cabins and suites can get toasty during the daytime, but night typically cools off significantly. Fire season typically falls between summer and early fall in the area, so air quality may be unhealthy during this time, particularly among sensitive groups. Check out the Rocky Mountain National Park website ahead of time for more information on Timed Entry Permits during peak season (typically May-October). Let us know if you have questions!
