Close to I-64. Minutes from Charleston. Sleeps 6. Be prepared to relax and have access to a full kitchen and a refrigerator and pantry stocked with breakfast items. The character and beauty of natural materials give this cottage apartment a feeling of simple elegance. Cedar Hill sits on a sunny hillside on a quiet, dead end street. This is a loft style apartment. Both sleeping areas open onto the main space without the encumbrance of doors. …… Just off the Cross Lanes exit of I-64. Minutes from many restaurants, grocery stores etc... and just a few minutes to downtown Charleston, WV This is an open, loft style apartment. The bedroom areas are in separate spaces, but they are not separated by doors. Relaxing yet convenient; it has a roku TV, dual mode coffee maker, breakfast items, dedicated central air, a kitchen with everything you need to cook/eat, a comfy queen sized bed, 2 twin beds, a queen size sofa bed, and includes everything you should need such as hair drier, iron, etc. It even has a mesh WiFi system to increase speed. Much of this apartment is made from reclaimed materials, and the patina of age adds a warmth and character that is hard to match. The working wood shutters are made from the wood of an old barn and give the feeling that they’ve been basking in the sun for centuries (because they have). The front door looks like it’s been there for centuries (it was built from wood that has been in the sun for over a century), and the brick columns, reclaimed from a century old downtown mansion, combined with the burnished cement walls, makes it feel like you’re in an old Italian hill cottage (crossed with a New York loft). The interior doors are built from industrial shipping crates and old decks. The counter top is wood reclaimed from a farmhouse, as is the ceiling, the walls, etc.. The shiplap siding is made from reclaimed wood. We hope you love staying at Cedar Hill whether for a quick night stay or an extended stay. note: Our no pets and no smoking policy is due in part to allergies in our family. While we’d love to be able to accommodate all the wonderful folks who travel with pets, due to allergies it would be dangerous for us to do so. Thus we cannot make exceptions to this rule. Sorry. Another note: PHOTOGRAPHY. Due to the nature of the requests we receive, we do not generally allow photography shoots. However, if it isn’t boudoir photography- or anything like it- we can allow photography shoots by request. We charge 200 for shoots. If you need more than one parking space or have a trailer let us know and we’ll accommodate you. One last note: Our road is not really suitable for very large trucks (larger moving trucks etc) or long trailers. We do have a shopping center close by if you need a place to park a moving truck and drive a car up. … Entire apartment I’m available via phone, text or Airbnb texts
