A sunny, freestanding 400-square foot cottage tucked in a backyard garden. Large roof deck above the living space has views over palm trees, hills, and a peek view of the ocean. Great sunrises and sunsets! A lovely place to relax and explore San Diego. Spend the day at the beach, zoo, etc and come back to your private casita with kitchenette, bathroom, pullout sofa, and separate sleeping nook with deluxe queen bed. Or, bring your breakfast up to the deck for lounge chairs and wrap-around views! Located 8 blocks from the beach in the Point Loma Heights neighborhood of Ocean Beach. Enjoy views of the Pacific Ocean, Mission Bay and the Sea World firework show from this premier location! Safe, quiet neighborhood with ample street parking out front for your vehicle. Property includes a large deck above the living space with table, chairs, loungers, and wrap-around view. (The owners live on the premises, but during your stay you have full use of the deck). Please note: there are standing and ceiling fans but no Air Conditioning. Most of the year the weather is mild with a cool ocean breeze. The main sleeping space is a queen bed with Sealy Posturepedic mattress and duvet comforter. It is set off from the main room by a partial wall (no door). There is also a full-size memory foam pullout sofa that can fit two children or one adult. The kitchenette is equipped for light cooking, with a two-burner stovetop, half-size refrigerator & freezer, plates, silverware, glasses, pots, and pans (note: no dishwasher, oven, or microwave). High-speed fiberoptic wireless internet and washer/dryer inside the casita. A portable crib is available on request. The house is a 15-minute walk or 2-minute drive to the beach and the best shopping and restaurants in Ocean Beach. 5 minutes drive to SeaWorld, 10 minutes to Gaslamp (downtown San Diego), 12 minutes to Zoo, 20 minutes to Torrey Pines Golf course. Feel free to contact us if for additional information. Guest access The casita is a freestanding house about 100 feet from the owners' home in the back garden of the property. Guests will have self check -in/out and keypad access through the property gate. You walk up a few steps to get in, and after entering the gate you walk beside the owners' home to get to the cottage. Street parking is always available in front of the property. Other things to note Please note that the unit does not have air conditioning. There is a ceiling fan and two standing fans. The local temperature is typically in the low 70s with a cool sea breeze. There are occasional heat waves in August or September when we get into the high 80s, so please check the weather.
