Countryside Private Guest Suite-Estacada Farmhouse

Welcome to Estacada Farmhouse, our property in the countryside. We are nestled equally distant from Mt. Hood National Forest and the City of Portland. It is a 42 mile (54 minute) drive to the base of Mt Hood at Government Camp, OR. The space The entire home is a stand alone guest house on a 2 acre property where the owners reside in the main house. This newly constructed suite was built with the same high standards the owners considered with their own home. The luxurious space was created with guests in mind. A studio area is furnished with a queen bed and a pull out double sofa. It contains a kitchenette equipped with coffee, tea, Keurig coffee maker, kettle, fridge, microwave and toaster. Enjoy your morning coffee at a small dining table for four inside, or on the patio chairs outside the suite. Everything about this space will leave you feeling relaxed, from the rain shower in the bathroom, to the property's jacuzzi. Blackout curtains ensure your privacy and opportunity to hit snooze. Some countryside favorites are the quiet of the birds singing, the neighbor chickens clucking, looking up to the bright stars on a clear night, and the smell of sweet grass in the summer time. For warm nights, there is a ceiling fan and air conditioner; a heater for the chilly mornings. When leaving for the day, we ask that you turn down the heat or air, until your return. The owners highly recommend lounging in front of the fire pit (when the Fire Department allows), with a glass of wine to watch the sunset. The firewood is provided. Our location in the country is at 1300 foot elevation. When mother nature intervenes, power from the utility may be interrupted. In the event of a utility outage, the property is protected by an automated generator. Guest access Guests are welcome to explore the grounds of our property, while respecting the privacy of the main house. Please ensure that only those listed on your reservation have access to the property. The spa/deck areas are for the use of our guests from 7am to 10pm. If guests would like the use of a gas barbecue, please let us know. An iron and ironing board can be supplied upon request. Other things to note Both Ilana and Jim are fully vaccinated. Contactless check-in is available. Simply request before arrival. The property has an electric security gate at its entrance. It will need to be opened before your arrival so you may gain access. For this reason, we will ask you for an estimate as to when you will be arriving. We will make sure that we open the gate prior to your arrival. Please let us know your eta the day before and give us an update when you are on your way. We will have everything open for you when you get here. A camera records arrival and departure activity for security and safety reasons.
