If you are traveling solo; here is a peaceful, quiet and private place to stay and have your own home-like, secluded place all to yourself. A unique space at a property on the South Golf Course. The guesthouse apartment is completely separate and has its own kitchen, eating area, bedroom, full bath, living area, patio-porch, two separate private entrances and a storeroom. Your own little home with its own thermostat-controlled HVAC system and own water heater. Park your car inside the enclosed garage, it is the only space you share with the owner. Relax and enjoy the view from your private covered patio, or from inside in the roomy eating area through large bay windows. The kitchen is equipped with a full-size fridge, stove, microwave, and filled with dishes, utensils, pots/pans and several small appliances for your food prep, cooking, and coffee/tea. A cozy combo bedroom/living area has bedroom and living room furniture, and a door closes it off from the kitchen. A freshly laundered cover will be placed on the loveseat so you can relax on it. NOTE: Murphy-bed is comfortable and slightly smaller/shorter than a full yet is wider than a twin. This might be something to consider if you are taller than 6 ft. Laundry: You will have your own washing machine, in your store-room, off the garage, close to your entrance; hangers, hang bar, drying racks and laundry baskets are provided. A dryer is available onsite in the main house, by appointment, evenings and on week-ends. RCSC fitness facilities: If you rent this place (1 month to 3 months), you have a special opportunity to sign up to use the rec centers and not have to be age 55. You may use any of the seven facilities, 7 days-a-week; the pools, Jacuzzis, exercise equipment, indoor track, full workout gym and more for only $75 a month. An excellent facility, Fairway, is only 2 blocks away. Contact the host for more details if you are interested. Guest has access to the enclosed garage for parking and the back yard with 3 citrus trees. They are welcomed to all the fresh citrus they care to pick January through May. I am next door to you and always available if you need help or anything else. We are neighbors and may see each other rarely, in the garage, while coming and going. Be as private or as interactive as you wish. I'm friendly, I like to visit and want to know how you are doing, however I keep to myself and give you your space. After the initial check-in and obtaining your rec card (if you are doing that), you are completely on your own to enjoy your stay as you would like. This is a retirement community and age restrictions apply to residents, however within specific regulations guests age 19 and up may stay here and use the facilities as well. This home and guest apartment are on a quiet side street in a well-kept, 1960's original historic Del Webb Sun City neighborhood. Located on the South Golf Course, and there are seven more golf courses within a short distance where all guests are welcome, with pro-shops, cafés, golf-cart and golf-club rentals. The seven recreation centers (RCSC) offer awesome fitness options, too many activities to list and privilege card holders can visit every day of the week. Traveling medical professionals - there are several major medical facilities all around within 25 min. and Banner Boswell Medical Center is 6 min. away. All your immediate needs are just a few minutes away by vehicle or a 10 minute walk. 2 blocks from South Golf Course Café for basic breakfast or lunch; Walgreens pharmacy, mini-mart, shops, library and Fairway Rec Center. 1.5 miles (4 min.) in every direction to gas stations, coffee, grocery stores, delis, Pizza, I-Hop, Italian, Mexican, Asian Cuisine; or Popeye's Chicken, Subway, KFC etc. Enjoy many choices for fine dining and entertainment just a short drive away in every direction or downtown (30 min.). Minutes (6.5 miles) to NFL Pro football - State Farm Stadium the home of the AZ Cardinals; the facility also hosts other major events and performances. The Desert Diamond Arena and Westgate Entertainment District - outdoor shows, music performances, events, water fountains, bars, eateries and shops. The Desert Diamond Casino is 6 miles south on Hwy 101. In the same area is a large Tanger Outlets shopping mall. More great restaurants and high-end shopping at Park West, south on 101, 5 minutes away. 20 min or less to MLB Spring Training games at 4 different first-class ball park facilities (Cactus League). Also MLB Minor League games - AZ Fall League (AFL West Div.) and other community playoffs as well at these same facilities. 3 min to New River cycle trail (connects to other trails). 20 min to White Tank State Park with hiking trails, horseback riding and off-road driving. Lake Pleasant (27 miles) - water sports, house-boating, large recreational area and hiking. Sun Cities Museum and Area Historical Society/Del Webb - 1.5 miles away and West Valley Art Museum - 3.3 miles away. Also the Sun City Visitors Center offers a wealth of information about the surrounding area as well. From the airport you may rent a car; use the Sky Train and Metro Light Rail service plus Metro Bus service to get to the apartment; or SuperShuttle or Sun City Express can bring you straight to the front doorstep. It is best to have a car for getting around in the west valley area but if you don't it is about two blocks walk from apartment to the public bus (Metro) service. There are several car rental companies close by in the area and several taxi services like Uber and others, etc. Another option specific to Sun City is to rent a golf cart for driving around in this area - some folks get around to their activities, errands and grocery store using their golf carts. Low Beam: Please be informed, if you are a tall person, there is one low beam in the living area. It's not in the middle of the room rather on the side but it does come down to 6'2"; so, it means that if you are taller than that you might bump your head. If this is you, I'm sorry but for safety reasons my place may not work for you because of that beam. Entire Separate Place: Is a complete "little home" that was built for a granny or an in-law. It sleeps only one yet has enough room in the eating area for a game of cards around the table. It shares one cement block wall with the main house however apartment is completely walled off from it and is accessible only from its own two entrances. It's separate yet under the same roof as the main house, similar to a duplex; it’s located in back of the garage and has complete privacy from the main house.
