Quiet Country Home, outdoor enthusiasts paradise

Stylish, modern, eco friendly with solar panels so partially off the grid & no more irritating load shedding, our home makes a perfect peaceful get away yet is only a few minutes away from Knysna's restaurants & waterfront. Elevated on a hill & with a high ceiling the house is cool with plenty of outdoor space. Green Pastures is a very peaceful and safe neighbourhood. We are 2km from Simola Golf Estate and the indigenous forest for well marked marked hiking, trail running & mountain biking . The space We have an modern open plan kitchen with a Sharp convection hob and grill/oven/microwave combo, a Smeg kettle, fridge/freezer and washing machine, a living and dining room with high ceiling with exposed beams and settee as well as a Day Bed. This can be pulled out to make two adult full size and very comfortable single beds. The bedroom has a queen bed and two windows allowing a cool breeze through. The bathroom has a sink, toilet and shower. We have a front veranda with views along the valley towards Knysna with a large day bed to relax on and a large table with benches for outdoor eating. Evenings are so peaceful there is little better than seeing the sun set with a glass of wine and book. At the back is a secluded large grassed area with more seating. Whichever time of day there is always somewhere outside that either catches the sun or offers a cool breeze and shade. We provide a Weber for your Barbecue/Braai too and a heater inside for winter. We have free fast wifi that works inside and outside. We have recently installed solar panels, batteries and an inverter which means we are very eco friendly and also means that when there is load shedding and no power in Knynsa, you can live normally knowing all the energy you are using is coming from the sun. On the rare days of continuous bad weather we are of course still connected to the grid. Guest access Off street car parkings at the top of a steep drive. Guests have full use of the entire house during their stay which can sleep up to four. There is no fencing round the property so if you have a dog please keep them on a lead around the garden. Other things to note We use a very good cleaning service and if you would like the house cleaned or the towels or bedding changed during your stay just let us know and we will arrange for a small fee.
