Get away from the city and relax at this beautiful home on the shores of lake Koshkonong. This large home has room for the whole family and a wall of glass windows overlooking the lake. Bring your boat or rent one on the lake and relax and enjoy. Lake Koshkonong is less than two hours north of Chicago O'hare. This home we like to call Olson Bay Getaway, has it all from granite counter tops and a fully stocked kitchen to new comfy beds and amazing views of the lake. The shoreline is sandy and excellent for swimming with a gradual drop off that is perfect for younger kids to play in. The home features the following bedroom configuration: 1st Floor 1 Queen Bed with Attached Bath 2nd Floor 1 Queen Bed room with water view and attached bath 2nd Floor 1 Queen Bed with Attached Jack and Jill Bathroom 2nd Floor 1 Bunk Room with Futon and two bunk beds also Attached to Jack and Jill Bathroom The home has a nice open concept so you can cook and eat dinner while taking in the lake views. A gas grill that is attached to the house gas (Never run out of propane) is also provided on the spacious deck so you can cook and eat outside as well. Lake Koshkonong is a 10,000 acre lake in Southern Wisconsin with lots to do and see. Apart from the great fishing and boating opportunities, there are several restaurants on the lake that you can boat to or drive to as well as winery tours in the area and great shopping. Kosh also boasts some of the best fishing in the Southern part of the state. The lake also attaches to the rock river so you can boat all the way up to the Indianford dam and view the scenery and amazing houses along this stretch of river. The home also features a beautiful fire pit by the lakefront and Adirondack chairs to sit around the fire as well as a large yard for games and family activities. The rental includes a private dock to tie your boat up to during your stay. This cabin is professionally managed by Manage Cabins, LLC. Most of our cabins have keypads to provide access to the guest. A full list of access instructions will be sent to you a few weeks before check-in via email. We are around if you need us but will leave you alone to relax during your stay. Our maintenance crews may be by the cabin as needed to cut grass, shovel snow or complete other maintenance-type tasks during your stay. Our cabins are all in rural locations that require transportation to get to. These areas typically have other high-end homes in them and we ask that you respect our neighbors by keeping the noise down after 9:00 PM. Boat rentals are available in the area. If you wish to rent a boat please contact us for details. Some of our cabins include Kayaks or canoes or other nonmotorized boats for your use during your stay. Please be sure to secure these boats on shore at night or during storms. You are responsible for these boats during your stay. Please return these boats to the place you found them when your stay is complete and turn them over so they do not fill with water. All of our rentals include an outdoor firepit. Some of our rentals have contracted with a 3rd party to provide firewood. This firewood is less expensive than buying wood in town and is provided on the honor system. There is a dropbox to deposit payment for your firewood and typically it's sold by the cart full. There are also a lot of firewood stands around the are to get wood at.
