Independence Lodge is a unique property in the forest, 2 miles from the Clarion River and 4 miles from Cook Forest State Park! This is an off-grid type experience for adventure seekers and nature lovers. Who needs WiFi or indoor plumbing when you have majestic pine forest and the spirit of adventure?! Reconnect to nature w/ a hot outdoor shower and heated outhouse. Warm up next to the indoor propane fireplace. Cabin has cell service, kitchenette, electric & well water plus water cooler. The space Our log cabin is perfect for making family memories, a gathering of friends or a romantic getaway. Read a book next to the propane fireplace, play darts with friends, or enjoy toasting s’mores and hot dogs over a bonfire. The rustic vintage vibes of our cabin will have you feeling like you are living in a simpler time. We are located in a rural area. Four wheel drive is recommended in the winter months as we get significantly more snow and ice than surrounding areas. Unfortunately, the outdoor well and shower freeze in the winter months, so they are typically not available from December to April. Other things to note We don’t have cable tv, but we offer an extensive collection of DVDs and a fire stick if you want to stream off of your own hotspot. We also have a dart board, card/board games, outdoor ring toss, hammock, & picnic table. There is a propane grill on the deck.
