Rodous Village House

Beautiful family traditional house in Agios Ioannis Pitsilias. This is an ideal house for those seeking quiet holidays in an area of natural beauty also for guests who want to travel all around Cyprus. The house is situated on the top of the village and has a magnificent view! This is my grade grandmother's house renovated by my family. The house is situated on the top of the village and has a magnificent view, were you can enjoy it from the kiosk or the big terrace. One of the biggest attractions of the house is the garden with a variety of herbs plants and trees. This is my grandmother’s house given to my mother and passed to me by my mother. The house was renovated by my family. It’s a stone house full of old furniture and memories of our loved ones. The first thing you will notice is how clean and tidy our house is! You will always have clean sheets and clean towels. It is a 3 floor house with 5 bed rooms. In the main floor you can find an inviting living room with a wood stove were you can gather around and enjoy some quality time or watch a movie, a full functioning old style kitchen that overviews the garden and a bathroom. Getting down to the middle floor by using a spiral staircase you find yourself in the main bedroom with a double and a single bed. It is important to mention that the now bedroom has a stable temperature because it used to be a wine and vinegar cellar. Passing through the first bedroom you find a small toilet and corridor decorated with my family's traditional daily tools. At the end of the corridor you find yourself in a small living room with a fireplace, right next is the second room with 2 single beds and a/c. From the small living room you have access to the yard and the stairs that leads you to the detached floor which includes, a bathroom, a room with 2 single beds and a/c, a small room with 1 single bed and a room with 1 double bed with a/c. It can easily accommodate up to 10-12 persons. Guest access Our guests have access to 1, 2 or 5 rooms depending on their booking choice while the rest of the house with the 2 living rooms and the kitchen is at their disposal. The outside area of the house with the gazebo and the large yard is ideal for relaxing and grilling with your friends. At the same time, an important part of the house is the garden with its colorful and aromatic plants. Other things to note The main room of the house was where my grandparents made and kept the wine and vinegar, due to the constant temperature of the room. Many of the tools and machines they used are preserved and decorated scattered around the house. We decorated the garden of the house in 2013 with colorful plants, rare trees and many aromatic plants found in the Cypriot flora.
