Bed and breakfast in Empire

The Sleeping Bear B&B is ideally nestled between the dunes and the city. It has been a full-service B&B for over twenty years. New ownership in 2020 with updated & stylish rooms - and now a glamping/hipcamp area! Though not included in the glamping fee you have the option to begin each day with a sumptuously cooked earth-friendly breakfast. The fee for glampers is $15 a person. And we want to be dog friendly but you must contact us before booking so we can discuss your dog and the rules. The space Private, private, private....you will be our only glamping guest during the length of your stay. So, you will have exclusive use of the outdoor camping space. Your safari tent is a 12' x 14'. It has a Queen size bed, fridge, space heater, fan, headlamps, and all the comforts we can think of. You will also have access to a full private bath anytime day or night. There are two private entrances to the camping area and it is fully fenced in. So if you want to bring your dog you are welcome to (but you must contact us before booking to discuss). Furthermore, there are lots of enjoyable outdoor spaces just outside the door to your hip camp: hammocks, firepit, grill, relaxing in the chill barn, garden, sit and listen to the birds, frogs in the pond, etc. You are also welcome to borrow a cooler backpack or picnic lunch set up if you are hitting the trails or beach. Furthermore, please enjoy the outdoor spaces: relaxing and dining areas, gardens, hummingbirds, pond, hammocks, fire pit, grill, etc. during your stay. Newly installed Level 2 EV charger. Traveling with another couple? Or with kids? There is room to set up another tent on the ground. We can set up a large six-person tent. Or you can bring your own tent to set up. Either way, you would just need to message us prior to booking so we can discuss the adjusted rate. Guest access Plenty of room for parking just steps from your glamping area. Totally safe countryside location. During your stay You are welcome to call or text us before you arrive, as well as during your stay, with any questions or concerns. And we are always happy to offer any insights on area attractions and dining options.
