Salvaged Farmhouse

Our home is located in the small town of Bishop GA--conveniently located 25 minutes from downtown Athens, 5 minutes from downtown Watkinsville, and 25 minutes from Monroe. We are very close in proximity to many wedding venues in the area as well as in walking distance from Pine Lake RV Campground. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom sits on a full acre and is surrounded by farmland which gives you the perfect amount of privacy to enjoy a little relaxation for your weekend getaway. The space Our home was built in 1910 and and has an updated kitchen and bathrooms. Throughout the house you will see the character that comes with a home of this age-- original pine floors, shiplap walls, 10 ft ceilings, plantation shutters, original fireplaces all mixed in with our modern farmhouse decor. Please be aware that our home still has its traditional farmhouse footprint rather than an open concept so living spaces include all that you need but square footage is small and bathrooms are not located off of bedrooms. Both bathrooms have a tub and a shower. The Master bedroom houses a king bed and the guest bedroom houses a twin day bed with a twin trundle mattress underneath. Guests will have access to the two closets located in the guest bedroom for hanging clothes if needed. The office includes a desk and a reading corner with a great view of the backyard. Because this home is our primary residence our kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessities and basic spices you may need to prepare a meal. The living room includes a leather sectional for seating that faces a 55" smart TV with access to Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Disney plus and more. But if you choose to stay with us we highly recommend spending your evenings and mornings on the back screened porch enjoying the sun rises and sun sets-- the view off the back is breathtaking at these times of the day. We do have our own dog that resides in this space when we are here but he is hypoallergenic and the space will be deep cleaned prior to your arrival. The only trace of his that you will find in our home is the photos that cover our walls. we ask that you keep our home pet free during your stay. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house and yard. Plenty of outdoor parking available on premises. Other things to note This is our full time home and we have worked hard to create a home with items in it that we love. Please be respectful of our space. We will have the master bedroom closet and office closet locked for privacy.
