Willow Tree Cottage on Peaceful Mountain Lake
Welcome to my romantic cottage on a serene mountain lake in the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont. Only a 3 hour drive from NYC, it's another world of peace, beauty, and tranquility. Nearby are the Appalachian Trail, National Forest, State Park, hiking and cross country ski trails, boating, fishing, and swimming, private dock, antiquing, restaurants, art museums, history, and theatre. This is a cultural and naturalist's wonderland. Recently fully renovated. Not suitable for young children. Comfortably sleeps four, with a small single bedroom, and queen size bed in the loft, a single futon in the great room, and a full size futon in the family room. No parties or fires in or near the house. Use deck, grill, fire pit, dock and kayak at your own risk. No loud motors or Jet Skis permitted on Woodford Lake. Fishing license and gear not provided. Please enjoy our books, puzzles, and games, but leave them behind for others. We've raised three children (but not here). This place is a child's paradise, but the house itself is not very safe or equipped for very little ones (0-4 years). Older kids over 5 will have a ball. You may use the entire cottage, but please be aware that master bedroom and loft are accessible only by a narrow spiral staircase. Bathroom is on the main level. I live in NYC, but am available via Airbnb messaging, and I have people on hand to check on the property and any needs you might have. Woodford Lake Estates is a summer and year round community of homes and families. Please respect all driving, noise, and community space rules. We are excited to share our cottage with you. It is our second home; please treat it with the same respect with which you would treat your own. You really need a car. Parking on the premises. Please be aware that the master bedroom loft is accessible only by a narrow spiral staircase.
