Christmas Cottage

One block away from Holiday World! This house is a close walk to the park and a 5m drive to Lincoln Boyhood National Park and many other attractions. The house has been lovingly prepared for a Christmas theme and is ready for guests with comfy bedding, updated kitchen and bathroom, large indoor and outdoor gathering area, and all sparkling clean. This house converts from an 8 person (upstairs only) to a 12-14 person (add 4 beds, bathroom, additional kitchenette, and washer and dryer). The space The Christmas Cottage is an ideal launching place for all the fun in Santa Claus. This is a two floor listing, with the lower floor (basement) included. Upstairs there is a large living room with comfortable and sturdy furniture. The kitchen table can easily accommodate 8 people, and the outdoor area is a fantastic place to hang out with family. There is cornhole in the closet along with other fun outdoor games - PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CORNHOLE BAGS (we have lost too many of ours in the woods!) The lower/basement level hosts an additional 6 people and adds a bathroom, kitchenette, living space and washer and dryer access. Please note - as with most basements - that the ceiling height is lower, at 6'5" and a couple of lower clearances where there is some HVAC soffets. All beds are super comfortable with high quality mattresses and all-cotton sheets (twins) and comforters (queens). The bathrooms are set up for form AND function - plenty of towel space for all of the guests to hang up a towel, and the hall closet has enough extra sheets and towels to ensure you have enough for your entire trip. Guest access There is plenty of parking in the driveway (dedicated to house). There is a supermarket around the corner as well as a bank, pharmacy and Dollar store. See the guidebook for other attractions and offerings of Santa Claus. It is all within a 1m drive (and an easy walk as well if you don't want to drive). Please note that there is a car stored regularly in the carport - it is a small one and shouldn't be in your way, but a heads up that it is there ... no one is sharing the space - its just you party animals! The car is stored for when the owner is in town doing repairs etc and she stores it onsite ... because she cannot figure out a better place to leave it:/ Other things to note Heating and Cooling: because we utilize our lower level (basement), it is automatically cooler down there. That said, when assigning rooms, may we suggest that the perfect folks for downstairs are those who prefer a cooler room? We turn off all of the vents from the upstairs system, but it does end up being consistently cooler. Also, don't laugh, but if you have "shorter guests", the downstairs is perfect. If someone is over 6'5" there will be some ducking involved in the lower level! Our water heater is new and is rated for two + bathrooms. However, let's be honest, if you take a 10m shower, you might run low on hot water. We have never had a complaint about cold water, but it probably makes sense to mention - space out showers and you will have plenty of hot water! Again please note that there is a small white car that is on site being stored (in the carport). Just ignore it - she won't bother you:)
