Sunset Point on Butterfly Lake, Port Carling

Welcome to Sunset Point, located on Butterfly Lake in the heart of Muskoka! Relax on lounge chairs on the huge dock with a bar, fridge, and water-crafts. Bask in the hot tub with perfect views of the sunset. Enjoy marshmallows and smores around the fire pit. Experience the fully stocked kitchen and grilling out on the large deck with a Weber Genesis BBQ. The two bedrooms offer luxury linens and mattresses while the bath boasts a walk-in shower, full soaking tub, and plush towels. The space The cottage is situated on a beautiful landscaped lot with a scenic west facing lake view perfect for watching sunsets. The living & dining rooms boast a cathedral ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows with incredible views. The harvest table doubles as a dining area and gaming zone for cards, puzzles and board games. You could also sit around the air-tight fireplace and watch a movie on Netflix, Prime or Crave. If the outdoors are still beckoning, marvel at the lake while enjoying a beverage on the large upper deck surrounded by a glass rail or enjoy a campfire with marshmallows. The view from the therapeutic spa is also an option. Guest access All amenities mentioned in the listing are for our guests except the driveway is shared, as is the floating dock. The garden and property do require maintenance and it is possible that you see Gerry or I sweeping or watering as needed. Other things to note Hosts reside on the property but your space is dedicated to you. The Cottage uses a Septic System, meaning water usage should be respectable. There is one dedicated parking spot for guests. Additional spots will need to be discussed with your hosts. Three friendly dogs reside on the property. The floating dock is shared with others but not the 24' x 36' main dock. One canoe and two kayaks are available. Some regular-sized PFDs can be found in the bin next to the stairs which you may use at your own risk. Two new SUPs are available. The wood one belongs to my son and must be treated with care. Local noise by-laws should be respected so that cottagers can enjoy the space. You will notice that noise travels easily across our waterway so you will hear talking, laughing, music, daily chores and watercraft especially on weekends as is normal at the lake.
