Hemlock Hideaway in Harbor Springs is perfectly located for all Northern Michigan fun! Basement has a pool table, TV with Roku streaming device, soundbar with Bluetooth, and indoor sauna. Upstairs retro gas fireplace and house games. Outside has a full wrap around deck with grille for use and a firepit in the summer. The space Located just minutes from downtown Harbor Springs, you'll be close to vacation destinations such as Petoskey, Charlevoix, Mackinaw Island, and the upper peninsula as well as a 10 minute drive from the famous Tunnel of Trees. In the winter, you'll find skiing nearby at Nub's Nob and Boyne Highlands (you can see the night skiing lights to the left and right off the front balcony at night), snowmobiling, and great cross country. For the warmer months, there's Petoskey State Park (lookout for Petoskey Stones!), Beaches, Golfing, Shopping, Restaurants, daily boat rentals, Jeep rides through the dunes, and even ziplining. There's so much to do, you won't be able to do it all in one trip or season. Upon arrival at the the property you will be met with front outdoor space for lawn games or a relaxing fire as well as a large wrap around deck for sitting and relaxing, listening to nature at it's best. Inside you'll find beautiful rustic Red Oregon Cedar interior throughout and a vintage fireplace with new gas insert. There's two bedrooms with one queen bed each on the main floor with a full bathroom. Upstairs is two additional bedrooms, one with another queen, the other with three twin beds and another full bathroom. In the basement you'll find yourself the perfect space to hangout and have some fun. There's high speed internet and WiFi throughout, a TV equipped with a Roku and guest mode to log into all of your apps for streaming and automatically signs you out upon departure, an indoor sauna, and a pool table. Guest access You will have access to our whole home and property with the exception of a few locked personal spaces in the basement. These locked spaces are our personal areas when my family stays at the chalet. Any attempt to gain entry to these spaces will result in a forfeiture of security deposit and potential removal from the property prior to your checkout. Other things to note Primary renter must be at least 25 years old. We offer a starter supply of Paper Towel, Toilet Paper, Hand Soap, Dish Soap, All Natural Shampoo & Conditioner, Dove Body Wash, and Trash Bags. There is also some cleaning items under the kitchen sink. Coffee, Tea, & Hot Chocolate is complimentary. There is also a supply of salt, pepper & cooking oil upon arrival. Other items you may wish to bring: - Bottled water, if you do not prefer well water (well is tested annually and is potable) - A bundle of firewood, if you would like a campfire for the summer fire pit (please don't burn wood from property). The Marathon station down the road also supplies fire wood for purchase - Beach towels (for summer guests) - Couple of extra blankets (for our winter guests) -The garbage is collected weekly on Monday from the bin at the street, please ensure you roll it out if you are leaving over the weekend so it can be picked up on Monday after you're gone. - For our winter guests we also recommend bringing an all-wheel-drive vehicle or at the very least a front wheel drive with good snow tires. The property is up a slight hill and in Northern Michigan we do get a good bit of snow. (The driveway is plowed every Friday and when snowfall exceeds 5 inches) NOTE: Anything above and beyond "normal" wear and tear on our house such as blood, vomit, or anything else similar will result in you forfeiting part or all of your security deposit.
