Comfortable, serene 2-bedroom home conveniently located off of HWY 287, nestled in the cottonwoods, with an inspiring view of the Wind River mountain range. This recently custom-renovated, unique, and quiet property features: WiFi; premium queen beds; a full kitchen; walk-in shower; washer/dryer and laundry amenities; fireplace; workspace; RV/Electric Vehicle hook-up; plenty of seating/eating space; and, is kid/pet friendly. It’s a perfect getaway to visit, stop over, or watch the world go by. This home features thoughtful, efficient, and multi-functional space such as a bookshelf remote workspace, an eat-in counter for cooking and dining, and a convertible ottoman that transforms into a single bed for another living room sleeping option. The walk-in shower panel gives the full-pressure shower you need after traveling or exploring the outdoors. There's plenty of safe parking space for RV’s, bikes, electric vehicles, boats, campers, horse trailers, and other vehicles. You have self-entry through the key code entry, with local contacts available and close by in the event you have any questions or concerns during your stay. This house is Native-owned and is located on the Wind River Reservation - home to the Eastern Shoshone Tribe and the Northern Arapaho Tribe. Visit local gift shops featuring Native art, local historical sites like Sacajawea and Chief Washakie’s resting places, or for 18+, enjoy the local casinos including the Shoshone Rose (7 minutes away). You can also purchase a daily fishing license to venture up to Moccasin lake (with an appropriate vehicle) or other available fishing and hiking locations on the Reservation. We’re in proximity to other tremendous sites, including family-friendly hikes to Sinks Canyon, or more-rigorous rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing sites. Take a few days and explore all that Fremont County has to offer! Grocery stores are minutes away (3 minutes to Hines General Store, or 10 minutes from Safeway, Starbucks, or Mr. D’s local grocery), along with restaurants, casual dining, and all features of a local western town. We’re located in the Warm Valley, the heart of Wyoming. Driving: Highway 287 is the main road where you can head north to Jackson Hole, Yellowstone National Park, Teton National Park, and Cody, WY. From our home, it's about 115 miles to Grand Teton National Park, 145 miles to Yellowstone National Park, and 138 miles to Jackson. Highway 287 is the main road connecting Fort Washakie and Lander. Head south, and you can travel through South Pass to Rock Springs and I-80 West toward Salt Lake. Head South on 287 and connect with I-80 East to Cheyenne, and then on to Nebraska or head south to Denver.
