Cedar Lodge Riverfront Home
This large, modern riverfront home is beautifully situated on the Raquette River just outside of Hannawa Falls, NY. It is located 8 miles from Potsdam, NY, home of Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam. It is 16 miles to Canton, NY, home to St. Lawrence University and SUNY Canton. Need AWD or 4WD during winter months. You have the entire home to yourselves to relax, cook, swim, paddle and enjoy the outdoor fireplace. All linens are provided. There is a well-equipped kitchen for cooking and dining. In addition there is a Weber BBQ grill, water and sand toys, and many children's items, including a Pack-N-Play. For recreation there is a large canoe, tandem kayak, single kayak, paddleboard, and paddles. Life jackets are available. The master bedroom faces the river with large French doors that lead to a private screened-in balcony with two chairs and a small table to enjoy your morning coffee outside facing the water. In addition to the master there are 2 more bedrooms upstairs, a queen futon in the sun room, a pullout couch in the living room, and a queen air mattress if needed. The upstairs bathroom has a full bathtub, while the downstairs bathroom offers a stand-in shower. Host lives in the area and is available on demand via text message and co-host lives just two doors down if something is needed immediately. We can assist with recommendation for local dining, skiing, paddling, babysitting services and other activities This neighborhood offers the best of both worlds by being nestled in the woods of the Adirondacks with many local trails for hiking but still extremely close to both Potsdam and Canton for restaurants, bars, and activities. Located directly on the river, you have the ability to paddle down and dock at our local fine dining restaurant, Jake's on the Water.
