Description

This villa is perfect for you and your loved ones during this unusual time. You will have your own PRIVATE villa, where you can seclude yourself from others if you so choose. And yet, you can walk to a nearby restaurant in less than five minutes and into Ubud in less than 10 minutes! Not only that, you will love staying home. Rather than staying put in a dingy room in the middle of a city, you'll get to enjoy constant breezes out in an expansive rice field where lovely energies abound! The space Welcome to our brand new and modern villa in the middle of a magical rice field, only a 6 to 8 minute walk to the center of Ubud! Our villa will give you a taste of traditional Bali with a twist of luxury that you will never forget! We offer a four-unit villa, each unit with its own bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and patio dining area, along with an infinity pool for your entire party. Plus free breakfast and daily room cleaning! The 70+ photos will give the best sense for our villa! The villa is located in the middle of a rice field whose borders are protected mostly be trees. And yet, we are a six minute walk through mostly rice field paths to the main museum in Ubud ("Puri Lukisan museum"), and another two to three minute walk on city streets to the Ubud Palace, which is considered the center of Ubud! At certain times of the year, fireflies dot the landscape in the evenings. Sunrises and sunsets are magnificently beautiful! You will be far from the congestion of the city, and yet, so close! You will enjoy the best of both worlds, but we believe that if you stay long enough, you will want to spend most of your time at our villa, as it's located in one of the most "taksu" (translated as "soul" or "spirit") filled areas in all of Bali! What this means is that you will begin to experience a kind of peace and tranquility just being here, soaking in the energy of the place! ---- Below, we will briefly describe the four units: 1. blue (upper) room, 2. white (lower) room, 3. red room, and 4. yellow room. 1. **BLUE ROOM**: This is our second-floor unit--our most luxurious!--with vast views of the surrounding rice fields! The main bedroom comes with a large bed along with work desk. The bed size is closest to a California King (71" x 79", or 180cm x 200cm). The balcony comes with a dining table and faces the inner courtyard and also offers views of the expansive rice fields to the south. Next to the balcony is a small kitchenette with a small refrigerator, sink, and stove, and offers views to the north, including Mt Agung on a clear day! The bathroom area is split into two areas: A. The main bathroom with granite bathtub and a view of the rice fields to the south from the bathtub, along with sink and toilet. You also get views of the rice fields to the west! While this is our only enclosed bathroom of the four units, all windows can be opened to bring in fresh breezes! B. A semi-outdoor shower room that opens out to the West, North, and East directions. Please note that there are stairs to climb for the blue room since it is on the second floor. 2. **WHITE ROOM**: Our lower unit combines our most spacious semi-outdoor bathroom, our biggest patio space and kitchen area, along with the most flexible bedroom arrangement in that the King-sized bed can be separated into two Twin XL beds! Our spacious semi-outdoor bathroom offers you the opportunity to enjoy taking showers under the blue sky with complete privacy while also taking a bath in our granite bathtub. There is also a window near the double sinks that allows you a beautiful view of the rice fields to the West--wonderful at sunsets! The patio space has clear and expansive views of the rice fields to the north and northwest, while the outdoor kitchen and dining area face the inner courtyard, but also with glimpses of the rice field to the south! As you can see in the photos, the dining table is largest for this unit and easily seats four (unlike the other units where the table is designed for two). If you like to work outdoors on your laptop, this table and patio area are an ideal workspace! And because the King-sized bed (79" x 79", or 200cm x 200cm) can be split into two TWIN XL beds (39" x 79" or 100cm x 200cm), this unit can accommodate couples as well as friends who are traveling together! 3. **RED ROOM**: Our Red unit is great for couples and solo travellers, with expansive rice field views to the South in addition to opening out to the pool area. It has a luxurious feel due to the rich red! The bed in this room is largest among all the beds we have, and the size is closest to a king-sized bed (79" x 79", or 200cm x 200cm). The private bathroom is semi-outdoors and comes with a granite bathtub and shower. (See photos for the luxurious richness of our bathrooms) The patio area contains a dining area along with an outdoor kitchen area, both of which are private to the unit. 4. **YELLOW ROOM**: Our yellow unit is very similar to our red room, but with rice field views to the north instead of south, in addition to opening out to the pool area. The bed size is closest to a California King (71" x 79", or 180cm x 200cm). This unit and the red unit (i.e., bedrooms, bathrooms, patio dining areas, and kitchens) are mirror images of one another. There are only a few slight differences: 1. The main window (not door) of the yellow room opens to the North while the main window of the red room opens to the South. Since Bali is south of the equator, the sun tends to arc slightly along the Northern side of the sky. Also, the rice field views are more expansive to the South. 2. The yellow room has a warmer and more spacious feel. The red room has a more luxurious and richer feel. 3. The red room is adjacent to a small make-shift tent area, where about 30 wild ducks feed and nest in the mornings and evenings. a. If you are a nature and animal lover, you will have a close-up view of these ducks parading about the rice fields by staying in the red room. b. If you are a light sleeper, you may be woken by the sound of the ducks in the early morning! In this last regard, the yellow room will be quieter. 4. The bed in the red room is slightly larger than in the yellow room. 200 cm x 200cm vs. 180cm x 200cm. There are also about five to seven steps involved in getting to the red and yellow rooms as well. Please note that there are two sunbeds available. Guest access The pool and deck area along with all garden areas, including a rattan swing, are accessible to all villa guests! Other things to note ** We do not offer meal services for lunch and dinner, but there is a local restaurant called Sweet Orange Warung, that is a two to three minute walk on rice paddy paths from the villa. You can find and read reviews of this restaurant on gxxgle maps! We think it one of the loveliest local restaurants ("Warungs") in town! ** There is pedestrian & motorbike accessibility plus parking, but ***the villa is inaccessible directly by car!*** The most commonly used pick up point by car is a ten to twelve minute walk away on a dirt path (that can get a bit slippery during rainy season for those arriving by motorbike). There is another route that is only a six to seven minute walk, but we do not recommend that route if it is your first time arriving, and it is at night. (We think it's okay if you're arriving during the day, or if you've already walked it before.) For this reason, we do recommend, if at all possible, to plan your trip so that you arrive during daylight. You are always welcome to arrive early and leave your luggage in our storage area while exploring the town until your room is ready! When you know, please let us know what time you will be arriving, so that we can tell our housekeeper what time to receive you. In case you are coming with your own taxi, you can ask your driver to call Cito and he will help you with directions. Please note that because we are out in nature, there will be guests, such as insects and geckos. While the windows and doors do close completely, insects can sometimes enter during the day when the windows might be open. Naturally, we supply natural mosquito repellent as well as mosquito-zapping blue lights. But also, if you come during certain times of the year, you will be treated to a display of fireflies out in the rice fields at night! In order to give a touch of beauty during your stay, we provide bathtub flower decoration on request. This would cost an additional 150,000 rp (or approximately $10 USD) for a beautiful bathtub on your special day of stay. The flower is not merely a decoration. The idea is taken from the traditional flower bath (Mandi kembang) which commonly consisted of jasmines, roses, Ylang Ylang, and frangipani done by the nobles in the old times for the purpose of relaxation and health maintenance. Please note that the price may change considering the flower market price. Please kindly ask us in advance. Lastly, we provide two small bottles of the highest quality bottled water in Bali to all rooms daily. If guests desire more, they can purchase larger bottles that will be stocked in the refrigerator at listed cost. Or guests can bring their canteens to staff, and staff will fill guests' canteens with the same quality water from the staff room, where we have a five-gallon dispenser.
