Our experienced cleaner is well-versed in disinfection and sanitation. All touch points, surfaces, kitchenware, and linens, including upholstery, are disinfected and sanitized on a routine basis. The newly remodeled space has been beautifully updated with features like hardwood floors, a full custom kitchen, chandelier, and cozy sleeper loft with a BRAND NEW king size mattress. Unwind on the comfy couch watching the 32" TV with Roku so you can stream your favorite shows over fast wifi. A detailed house manual has info about the space, local food, area attractions, and more. The full custom kitchen features a fridge with local Washington beer (21+ guests only), full size range, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. There is also everything you need to cook a meal like pots, pans, bowls, and utensils. We provide coffee, cream, sugar, and some breakfast bars if you're feeling hungry. The bathroom is tastefully decorated and sports a carrera marble shower, 14" rainfall showerhead, and reclaimed wood vanity mirror. We provide fresh towels and spa quality shampoo, conditioner, bodywash and hand soap. We also provide necessities like a hair dryer, cotton balls, cotton swabs and plenty of toilet paper. The sleeper loft is accessed via a custom staircase (may not be suitable for those with mobility limitations) and has a brand NEW king size memory foam mattress, high quality bedding, plenty of pillows, and fresh linens. The space was designed to be environmentally friendly and maximize energy efficiency. You'll love the tankless water heater, mini-split heating and A/C unit, new triple-pane windows, closed cell foam insulation, and of course, recycling. Just out your front door is a patio area with chairs and a bistró table, perfect for enjoying a cool Washington morning or winding down at the end of your day. The unfenced portion of the yard is for your use and has fun hammock chairs hanging from the apple tree. Help yourself to apples or pears from the trees when they're in-season! There is also a cornhole yard game, perfect for non-rainy tacoma days! You're welcome to park one vehicle in the large shared driveway, but please be careful not to block other cars in! Street parking is is also available right in front of the house. Your home-away-from-home is ideally located in central Tacoma. Drive downtown, to the Proctor district, or to Titlow park on the water in 10 minutes or less. Ruston, Point Defiance, and McChord are about 15 minutes away. We can't wait for you to experience this beautiful space! Guest access The entire inside of the Rainy Retreat is exclusively for your use. The unfenced portion of the yard with the apple tree and swings is also for your use. Please refrain from entering the fenced portion of the yard, as our tenant's adorable dog has free access to the yard at all times. She may greet you excitedly and you're welcome to pet her over the fence. Please don’t go up to the main house as it’s occupied by our tenants. They’re super friendly and you’re welcome to say hello when you see them in the driveway, but please direct any questions about your stay to us through the airbnb app. Other things to note Smoking in accordance with Washington law is permitted outside on the patio. No smoking of any kind or open flame is permitted in the home- extra cleaning fee of $250 will occur. A security camera monitors the exterior of the property and may be recording 24/7. It is located above the tiny house front door. Additional fees: We have put so much work into making your stay perfect, and we value the time we have between guests to prepare for future guests. Please note that there are minimal fees for guaranteed early check ins or late check outs to cover the expenses of reworking the schedule or adding an additional cleaner to the schedule to accommodate your request.
