Cabin in Stanardsville

Saddleback cabin is 9.5 miles (22 minutes) to Swift Run entrance in Shenandoah National Park. Enjoy local breweries, wineries, antique and pottery shopping. We are 30 minutes from Charlottesville or Harrisonburg with lots of historical sites and caverns. If a quiet stay is your preference, enjoy the fireplace on the deck and star gaze, hear owls calling. You will experience pleasant sunrises from the deck, and peaceful wooded surroundings. No 3rd party bookings/2 adults only The space The cabin sits at 1742’ in elevation. Built in the 70’s this cabin has been lovingly remodeled with heart pine wood floors, vintage cabinets, and all new appliances. Warm up cold nights with a fire in the wood stove or use electric heat. Make yourself at home with a fully stocked kitchen including Keurig coffee maker for morning coffee. Need that smoothie? Grab the bullet. The yard and gardens are a mixture of edible landscaping and native plants. Sample some herbs from the tea garden and berries in season. Tired after a long hike? Enjoy your fav beverage cozied up to the outdoor fireplace on the deck and enjoy stargazing like you’ll never see in the city. The cabin accommodates 2 adults only. No extra guests . Guest access Explore the vegetable and woodland gardens, berry patches, and greenhouse around the cabin. Ask about some close hikes and watering holes. Other things to note Roads are gravel with some rocks and potholes for approximately 1.5 miles. All wheel, 4 wheel drive, or a vehicle with higher suspension is recommended. My Subaru Forester makes it in all weather conditions! *Know your weather forecast as winter storms can change road conditions.
