The space Escape to a private two-bedroom cottage with stunning mountain and river views — and air so fresh you’ll feel it the moment you arrive. Sleep deeply in complete quiet — no traffic, no trains, no neighboring noise. Just peace. The primary suite features a large soaking tub (pack a robe), while the second bathroom is a full shower. Spend your days along the Clinch River — cast a line, read by the fire pit, or simply take in the view. Stay closer to home with foosball, cornhole, puzzles, and porch time. Bring your binge list (and login codes), your favorite crockpot recipe, and settle in. With fast Wi-Fi and three smart TVs, you can stay connected — or unplug completely. Enjoy evenings by the wood-burning stove, grill at sunset, and unwind on the porch swing with friends and your favorite adult beverages. FaceTime works best for calls during your stay. Guest access Arrival & Entry Instructions • Enter the property at the second red gate — not in front of the white house, but to the right over the small hill. • The 4-digit lockbox contains the gate key. • You will receive a digital code for the front door. Self check-in begins at 12:00 PM. Once inside, place your bags in the large walk-in closet, choose a chair, recline, and relax. Please no smoking inside. Other things to note This charming and cozy cottage offers the perfect peaceful retreat. Inside, you’ll find a spacious walk-in closet, a luxurious soaking tub, and serenity for days. Be sure to pack your robe and pick up groceries before you arrive we are about 40 minutes from most stores and restaurants. The cottage is located along a single-lane country gravel road. The drive in includes winding inclines over the mountain and can feel challaneging at times—but you can do it! 😊 Smaller cars may find it a bit bumpy, while SUVs handle it comfortably. Once you reach the top the Ridge, the beautiful mountaintop take in the views that make it all worthwhile. The road had washboard spots for safety and speed control - power through. When you’re ready to unwind, relax in the reclining chairs or enjoy one of the available games. If you’re craving even more quiet time, take a seat by the river, close your eyes, breathe deeply, or drop a fishing line. FaceTime friends and family from nearly anywhere on the property. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of space and tools for cooking. Coffee, tea, and basic pantry essentials are provided if you forgot something. If there’s something you think would make the experience even better, we’d love your suggestions. For your safety and comfort, we leave at least one day between guests to ensure thorough sanitizing. Please note that security cameras are located on the front porch and in the backyard for added safety. The Cumberland Gap area offers plenty to explore—from local the Tazewell Speedway to scenic waterfalls and breathtaking mountain overlooks.
