Spacious family home with open floor plan, fireplace, and close to Mohawk Ski Area! Welcome to the Woodridge Retreat! An elegant, spacious, and cozy family home with an open floor plan. Set back from the road, it resides on over an acre of wooded land, in a peaceful, friendly community on Woodridge Lake. The Woodridge Retreat is available to rent year-round for a minimum of two nights. As much as I love pets, I ask that you please respect my pet-free policy. A minimum two-week stay at The Woodridge Retreat in the summertime will afford you access to the lake and its amenities (clubhouse, gym, beaches, eight tennis courts, activities/events/concerts, etc). Two kayaks (and PFDs) will be made available for your use, but at your own risk. You will have to be registered at the Clubhouse Office. Parking and associated fees, are the responsibility of the renters. As a temporary member, you must follow the rules and regulations of the WLPOA. The Woodridge Retreat is within walking distance to the lake, gym, eight tennis courts (4 hard court/4 clay), and clubhouse. If you stay for less than two weeks, it will still be worth it, as the Litchfield Hills are truly beautiful, and there are other lakes in the area you can access for a fee. Scenic drives through quaint New England towns. There are great restaurants, antiquing, movie houses, live theatre, and music. A ski area, chocolate milk house, race track, golf course, hiking, horseback riding, and wineries are nearby. Also, the Housatonic River...where you can fly fish, canoe, raft, and kayak! If I am not available to greet you, you will have the combo to let yourself in. The Woodridge Lake community is peaceful...yet open and friendly. You'll appreciate having your own car in this rural area. The northwest corner is known for its small, quaint towns, and natural beauty. Plenty of scenic drives to enjoy, bicycle trails, hiking, water sports, winter sports, etc. Once again, my home is a pet-free home. The fireplace and barbecue are seasonal. The fireplace is available beginning the Thanksgiving holiday, until spring. The barbecue is available beginning Memorial Day weekend, until Labor Day weekend. I have a couple bicycles (with helmets) and a set of golf clubs, that you are most welcome to use. If you stay for at least two weeks, you may also use my two kayaks. I have fun board and lawn games, like Bocci and croquet (for adults and children), books to read, music, TV, cards and poker chips, foosball, darts, and so on. My house sleeps a maximum of eight people. A queen sofa bed is available in the loft area, if needed. Any amount of guests beyond eight must be agreed upon, in advance, and there will be a surcharge for each guest.
