The newly renovated, open floor plan inside compliments the even more expansive living space outside. The Space:
Located in a guard-gated community, this recently redone home checks all the boxes for an unforgettable desert vacation. Inside you will be greeted by a sizable gourmet kitchen with a full wet bar that features a window to the backyard so you can pass margaritas to your friends and family while they lounge by the pool. A family room with a brand new pool table, flat-screen TVs in every room, a separate formal dining area, and an indoor fireplace means it will never be challenging to partake in group activities. But if you need a retreat, there’s always the spacious master bedroom with a full walk-in closet and jacuzzi bathtub. Outside you’ll find ample room to stretch out, layout, and hang out. Beyond the stacked rock jacuzzi that spills over into the pool, the outdoor living space boasts unobstructed views of the mountains that border the Coachella Valley and Lake La Quinta, a man-made water oasis in the middle of the California desert.
The home features its own lake access. Enjoy a late-night dip in the jacuzzi followed by s’mores around the outdoor fire pit or a movie night inside. The beauty of Desert Azul is the freedom it allows for you to do so much while staying so close to home.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire home and the driveway to park. This is a gated community where short term rentals are not permitted (only 30+), and the community is very walkable. There will be no one else on the property, other than the occasional gardener and pool man, unless otherwise discussed with you in advance.
All 30+ day stays require mid stay cleaning by our professional housekeeping team. This is a full clean of the house and change of linens. We pay our cleaners a fair, livable wage and we always strive to hire the best, most reliable and honest cleaners in the business. This team in the backbone of our company, and they work tirelessly to ensure every stay is a clean one!
The Neighborhood:
La Quinta is a quiet, peaceful and beautiful place to call home. The community has voted against short term rentals, unlike Palm Springs, and so there is more of a community feel to the area. The area is perfect for biking and hiking, and has great restaurants a few blocks away. The cove refers to the community nestled in the mountains, so the area is well protected from the wind. This is a perfect family friendly neighborhood to enjoy your vacation!
This home is located in a private community, and features a beautiful lake and mountain views. We recommend walking around the community in the morning and early evening once the sun sets over the mountain, to really feel like you are a local.
Getting Around:
Most people choose to have a car when visiting Southern California. There are an abundant amount of unique and significant attractions within two hours of this home. If you’re an explorer, we recommend a car.
If you’re the type that wants to arrive and relax at the house on your vacation, Uber and Lyft are readily available as well.

Open Air Homes is setting a new standard for the short term rental industry. During your stay, we rely on a centralized texting service so that you can reach us anytime simply with a text. Our property management team cares for each home, and our goal is to have each home properly maintained before you step foot in the home. We make your check in and check out process a breeze, and simply ask you to turn off the lights/AC and lock up on departure. Our team is well versed in the local community, and we offer each guest a personalized set of recommendations before your stay, with the goal of making your stay a truly unforgettable experience.
Instant Book is turned off for all of our homes at Open Air Homes. This is a conscious decision in order to be a positive change for the short term rental industry, We encourage guests to send us a respectful note and provide us a little bit of background about your group before booking, and then we will take this to the owner for approval. We believe that mutual respect is key to ensuring that this industry can thrive. Please note that in the State of CA, guests staying over 30 nights are legally required to sign a legal CAR form with the DRE. Our Broker of Record will send you this CAR form for signature once payment is made. Your reservation will be considered ready to go once the form is signed!

At Open Air Homes, we strive to give you such a great experience, that you will consider us for Property Management if and when you buy. Our goal is to provide unforgettable, relaxing vacations to our guests, and we aim to take care of all of the needs of this property before you step foot in the home.
There is a 10-day grace period to return any items taken from the home at check-out (keys, garage remotes, etc). Replacement costs will be charged to guests if items are not received within 10 days of check-out.
Quiet time hours : 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM
PET FEES: For stays under 30 days, there is a non-refundable fee of $150 per pet. For 30+ stays, there is a non-refundable fee of $300 per pet. Damages and/or failure to pick up after your pet may result in additional charges at check out.
Pool and spa heating: is available at a nightly rate of $50 to reach a standard temperature of 82 degrees. Heating to 85 degrees incurs an additional $80/day, while heating to 90 degrees incurs an additional $125/day. This cost is billed separately and must be confirmed and paid before arrival. Please inform us during the booking if you opt for this. *A minimum of 2 days of heating is required.
Additional charges will be incurred if tampering with HVAC or pool equipment results in the need for maintenance.
Every booking is subject to additional fees for local taxes, service charges, processing fees, insurance, pet fees, pool heat, cleanings, etc. These mandatory fees are required and added to the accommodation fare, cleaning fare, and VRBO fees. The total price shown above is NOT the total amount due for this reservation.
