Situated on 20 acres of pristine wilderness, the North Branch Outing Club is everything you’ve been looking for in a getaway! There are 400 feet of frontage access to the North Branch of the Au Sable River for your fishing and recreating enjoyment. There is a fully serviced fly shop on the property, as well as guided fly-fishing and wingshooting trips and casting lessons. It’s a perfect experience for beginner or experienced anglers, or those just wishing to relax and experience nature. The space The lodge is situated a literal stones throw away from the Au Sable river. It’s a wonderful chance to take a break from our hectic lives and experience the full glory of nature! We are experienced at hosting corporate retreats, smaller employer getaways, family reunions and weddings and of course smaller groups/families. It is a unique space that won’t be found in many other places! The history of the Douglas Lodge is astounding, having hosted The Ford family, the Dodge Brothers, Thomas Edison and European Royalty among others and is a has earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places. A stay at NBOC is truly a step back in time. Breakfast is provided free of charge. Guests have access to a community kitchen/dining room upon request and communal living areas. Guests must clean up after themselves if using the kitchen. There are a grill and fire pit outside as well as a wonderful wrap around porch. There are two suites with queen beds and en-suite bathrooms, the other rooms have access to shared bathrooms. Guest access Guests have access to the entire 20 acre property. There are 400 feet of river frontage. Other things to note North Branch Outing Club is all about disconnecting and experiencing nature! The guided trips are perfect for beginning or experienced anglers and hunters. Due to uncertainties in gas prices and other expenditures, guide rates in 2022 are especially susceptible to change. Peak Season Full Day — $500 (two anglers), $475 (one angler), includes lunch or dinner Full Day Guide — $475 (two anglers), $450 (one angler), includes lunch or dinner Half Day Guide — $375 (one or two anglers) Mouse Fishing Half Day — $425 (July, August, September) Wading/Instruction (4 hours), one or two anglers — $300 ($50 per additional angler) Winter 3/4 Day Special — $425 Full Day Bird Hunting-$495 A $100 Fee is charged for trips canceling less than five days from the scheduled float. Trips canceled within 24 hours are charged the full rate of the float. Guide rates are subject to change.
