Muangkham Cabin

Drive through the mountain road and find oasis of peace at Muangkham Cabin. Located high on the mountain in Muangkham village of Mae Rim district - 1 hour drive from city center of Chiang Mai - our cabin is the perfect place for you to get back in touch with mother nature. The cabin sits on a hill overlooking Pong Yaeng Valley, where local villagers live simple life growing coffee, flowers, fruits and vegetables. The king size bed is on the first floor of the room. There are 2 queen sized mattresses on mezzanine floor in different corners. The master bedroom has 2 bathrooms. Air-conditioner on both the 1st and mezzanine floor. There is another connecting bedroom which can be either connected or sealed off from the master bedroom. This bedroom has 2 independent entrances – either from the terrace or backyard where jacuzzi is located. The bedroom does not have a bathroom in itself. Toilet can be accessed from living room and shower has to be used in master bedroom. Airconditioned. The living room is a high ceiling space. We have a real fireplace with logs provided for cozy cold nights. Living room is not airconditioned but we have a ceiling fan and the air flows well. Jacuzzi is located outdoor. Perfect for enjoying a dip with the valley view. Temperature can be adjusted up for cold nights, or down for warmer nights. Other things to note We do our best in keeping the house clean at all times. But we ask guests' understanding that the house is situated in the forest, and therefore, there may be encounter with bugs and lizards some times especially during rainy season. We therefore, ask guests' cooperation in always closing doors or wire-net at all times. We strongly suggest guests to come by private/rented vehicles. As it is far from the city, it will be very hard to find a Grab driver that will come pick you up.
