The apartment has a spacious Living room , kitchenette and an air-conditioned bedroom with attached bath and a balcony overlooking the street. The breakfast provided is home cooked and traditional Kerala cuisine. The space The Portuguese, Dutch and British ruled over Cochin for nearly 447 years and had their the barracks around Fort Cochin. The architecture of ‘The Barracks Cochin’ is inspired by many such buildings, military outposts and barracks of Cochin. Their quaint gables, barn-like roofs, heavy walls and buttresses, the narrow regular streets, the venerable church all contributed towards the design! The apartment is designed with a great deal of comfort and privacy in mind. The bedrooms were inspired by those in the heritage bungalows built by the European and Jewish traders during the colonial rule with large four poster beds, a work desk and a dressing area. The living room has a kitchenette with basic utensils and crockery for your daily need. The furniture includes a sofa cum bed, a coffee table and a dining table for two with seating. Located close the Heart of Fort Cochin, but away from the crowd, in a residential area and easily accessible by all means of transport. The Bus stop on the main road is only 200 meters from our property and Rickshaws are accessible from the main road. Guest access The entire apartment and the Balcony. Other things to note Please do note the below points when you travel to Kerala. > Smoking in public places in Kerala (as any where in India) is a punishable offense. Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas. This rule is strictly followed in Kerala. > Use of contraband drugs is against the law and is not permitted on our property. If you are found in possession of contraband drugs, it would land you up in jail. > You are permitted to carry alcohol or alcoholic beverages not above the quantity stipulated by law. Please do inform us if you are in procession of alcohol or alcoholic beverages during check in and keep the purchase receipts with you. Ask us to know about the legal limit of alcohol a person can carry. > Consuming alcohol or alcoholic beverages in public and open spaces in Kerala is a punishable offense. Consumption is permitted only indoors or at licensed premises. Please speak to us for more details. > Please contact us for assistance in reaching our house if the Cab / Rickshaw driver ask you to stay at a different place saying that he is unable to spot our home. We can arrange to pick you up from the airport or train station an extra cost. Please do write to us if you would require transportation.
