The space Tinderbox Beach House is the ideal spot to unwind, relax and fall in love. With a comfortable and inviting relaxed coastal decor consisting of 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a full kitchen, dining room and lounge area with fabulous views you are sure to enjoy your stay. Captivating in all seasons, with a private courtyard and pizza oven out the back and gorgeous views overlooking the beach from the front deck, Tinderbox Beach House offers the perfect escape. Go diving, swimming or kayaking in the bay. Read a book on the beach or play a spot of tennis at the nearby courts. The underwater delights offer a fabulous experience for snorkelling and diving and our guests love the diving trail at the Tinderbox Marine Reserve, a large breeding area for the leafy sea dragon. Our little bay is one of the best places to view the Aurora Australis. At certain times of the year, you may be lucky to experience it in full bloom as she dances over the water, or even swim in the phosphorescence for an evening dip. In Summer, enjoy swimming at the beach, G&T’s on the deck and watching the boats glide by as the sun sets. Come Winter curl up inside in front of the wood fired heater with a good book. The choice is yours. Amenities also include a double kayak, tennis equipment, books, jigsaws & board games. If you want to head out, we are a close drive to the Bruny Island Ferry and the Huon Valley - it’s hard to choose which adventure you will take for an easy day trip. As Hobart is only 30 minutes away, you can even explore Salamanca Market on Saturday or head out to MONA - there’s so much to choose from. Stop at Bayview Shopping Centre at Blackmans Bay on the way for all your supplies. Hill Street Grocer offer a superb range of food, including pre-made salads, seafood, meat and pantry goods. Cellarbrations offer a great selection of wines and spirits. There is also a small selection of takeaways and a chemist. If you don’t feel like cooking, you can eat out at one of the restaurants in nearby Kingston Beach or Blackmans Bay. Please note: Mobile reception can be poor in certain areas. We are a No-Smoking venue. Smoking is allowed outside in the back courtyard, but not on the wooden decking areas. Please dispose of your butts in the bin provided. We also do not allow pets.
