The state-heritage listed Troubridge Cape Du Couedic Cottage provides family friendly self contained accommodation nestled in Flinders Chase National Park. The cottage is one of three. Offering a fascinating insight into the history of Kangaroo Island, the cottages are the original homes of the light keepers for the lighthouse station. Cottages accommodate five guests. Admirals Arch, Remarkable Rocks and the seal colony are nearby attractions. Proceeds are donated to conservation efforts. The space Troubridge Cottage caters for up to four guests. There are two bedrooms with king size beds. With notice beds can be split into single beds, please message us with what bed configurations work best for you. Bedding will be provided for the day bed for bookings over four guests. Please note regarding wifi / phone reception: There is little to no phone service at the cottages, however if you are with Telstra you may find patches around the place. Guest access Cottages are rented as exclusive use. A BBQ dining area is available for use by all guests. Other things to note Please note: If the cottage is not available please check the other one as there are 2 almost identical cottages! As the cottage is located inside the national park visitors are required to obtain a Park pass. This can be done at the the Visitor’s Centre at the entrance to the Park (during business hours) or arranged online prior to your trip. Guests must advise if they plan to check in after 5pm due to the remote location of the cottages. In case of catastrophic fire danger days where the national park has been closed the cottages must be vacated. A full refund will provided for unused accommodation nights.
