The Lookout Loft @Moonbeams: stay on 38 acres

The Lookout Loft at Moonbeams: a light-filled loft with a private bath & kitchenette on 38 acres in the Taconic Mountains. Relax & listen to the birds on your private outdoor deck. Cozy up by the gas indoor fireplace in the winter. Explore the property, located on a quiet, idyllic gravel road. Enjoy our wood fired hot tub (inquire about it for an additional set-up fee), hiking trails & tranquility brook-side lawn with multiple fire pits. A nature oasis perfect for the weekend or longer stays! The space Enter the loft from a detached building off of the upper driveway. Upon entering you'll have a private coat and mud room area for all the essentials. A short staircase will take you up to the loft from there where you'll have access to a dining area and kitchenette. A seating area in front of a gas fireplace (fireplace available October through March). A comfortable queen size bed. Workspace that overlooks nature. Private bathroom. The space has lots of light and has four lovely sky lights with views of the trees. Each has a pull down room darkening shade. The loft is an open floor plan with your own private deck access featuring Mountain and brook view’s. The Kitchenette is equipt with a large Cuisinart toaster oven, Moccamaster coffee maker, coffee grinder, electric tea kettle, an assortment of teas and coffee, microwave, refrigerator & freezer, two-burner hot plate and all other cooking, dining basics. The loft features 2 types of heat for those colder months – a lovely gas burning fireplace, easy to use split unit (which also is AC for the Summer), and a back-up propane heater. It stays very cosy! There is also a wood-fired hot tub experience available to guests as an add-on. Enjoy nature in a very intentional, unique way while soaking in a hot, cedar-lined wood-fired tub, surrounded by it. Star gaze, listen to the brook and the sounds of the crackling fire and just RELAX. The tub fits two adults very comfortably. The experience can be booked for $75/day and we'll prepare it for you – it takes 2-3 hours to prepare it. Please note, the hot tub must be confirmed for your booking 5 days before arrival so we can plan accordingly. Enjoy it as many times as you like for the day or book it for your whole stay! You're guaranteed to feel great afterwards! During winter months, borrow some snow shoes, we got a few pairs and to explore our mountain and trail. It’s beautiful and a fun winter workout. Plus, we’re 18 mins from Catamount for skiing/snowboarding, a great ski resort! Guest access Easy parking is located right outside your door on the upper driveway (with enough space for up to 2 cars). The driveway is paved, and we are 1 mile up a well maintained dirt road from route 22. Make sure to mention you’d like it when you’re booking your stay so we can reserve it for you :) The gas fireplace is available for use October through March, unless it's a colder April or September. It radiates too much heat during the spring and summer months.
