You will see deer every day yet it’s just 8 minutes to Loop 1604 with all its amenities - grocery, restaurants, shopping, etc. 20 minutes to Six Flags Fiesta Texas, 30 minutes to The Alamo and The Riverwalk. 30 minutes to Sea World, or the same to the great Natural Bridge Caverns. If time allows, consider the fantastic Schlitterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels with a recommended stop at Gruene, TX (45 min). Or check out Boerne, TX (35 min). From there, continue to tiny but famous Luckenbach (30 min) or Fredricksburg – for some memorable German influences.
