BRAND NEW modern Scandi apartment in inner north

Brand new light-filled, north facing apartment in Canberra's funky inner north. Set back from a quiet, leafy street in Watson & ideal for 1-2 people (up to 4 ok) - kids welcome. Close to great cafes, bushwalks, local shops & farmers' market. Fully set up for a short or long stay. Tea, coffee, olive oil, soap, cereal, shampoo, towels, washer/dryer - all you need! I live in the house in front. (I'm told I know half of Canberra! Am happy to give local tips) Open air parking. Non smokers only! The space This is an open plan studio apartment. There's no door between the bedroom and lounge. The queen bed is in the bedroom space with an ensuite. The second bed is a sofa bed in the lounge area. Guest access The apartment is yours to enjoy, and it's quite private so you can relax and sit outside in the sun with a morning cuppa (coffee and tea provided), or BBQ in the evening. My kids live in the main house half the time and your kids are welcome to say hello, and to jump on the trampoline out the front. Other things to note A few things to note: *Parking is out the front on the street or lawn. (I'm building a carpark but it's a while away still.) * For longer stays (more than a week), I provide some grocery items to start you off… such as bread, milk, and dishwasher tablets. After that you will need to buy your own groceries. *Also for longer stays: I do not offer a cleaning service, but provide extra sheets and towels for you to use, and there is a vacuum cleaner and cleaning products in the apartment, as well as a washer/dryer (great if you’re on a road trip!) *I'm a social justice journalist and author. I live in the main house (my kids are here half the time). *The apartment is behind the main house and is completely private with its own entrance. *We do have lots of birds and possums in Canberra. You may occasionally hear possums fighting or running across the roof. * If you intend to work during your stay and require a desk, please let me know beforehand. I have a small fold away desk that can be installed (see photo). But I need to move an armchair first to put it in place for you. * My home is a safe space for folks from all minority and marginalised groups. I welcome guests of all races, faiths, genders and sexual orientations.
