Cosy 2-storey South Downs cottage Slindon, Arundel
Description
Welcome to The Cottage, a charming annex of our renovated 18th-century home in Slindon. Perfectly placed to enjoy the best of the South Downs, we’re just 15 minutes from the coast, Goodwood and historic Arundel. Sleeping up to 3 adults over two floors, with off-street parking and a peaceful garden, The Cottage is a cosy retreat. Whatever your reason for visiting, we hope you’ll leave wanting more of this beautiful region. The space The Cottage is a two-storey guest house with private external access to both levels and an internal spiral staircase. Its “upside-down” layout places the living room, kitchenette and single sofa bed upstairs, while the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower is on the ground floor. Set in the South Downs National Park, Slindon is a quiet National Trust village with big views, old brick and flint houses, and miles of woodland and footpaths. It’s understated, unspoilt, and a great base for exploring the coast and countryside. Bring a torch, it gets pretty dark in winter and outside lighting is limited due to dark skies policy in the national park. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the garden at the front outside space to the front of the property, with two separate seating areas provided in good weather. We also have extensive grounds to the rear which we are happy to provide access with guidance. Whilst the annex is partially joined to our property, it has two separate entrances and an internal courtyard with seating when the weather is not so nice outside. Other things to note Whilst we aim to minimise disruption as we renovate Mill Lane House, there can be some noise during weekday working hours. The property will, however, be marked as unavailable during major works. At the point of writing we are 170+ stays and thus far it has not caused a problem, but do please let us know if it disrupts your stay in any way.
