Cozy Casa in Forest Knolls

Relax and reset in this modern and peaceful West Marin home, conveniently situated in the San Geronimo valley, just minutes from Fairfax and Point Reyes. We are located in Forest Knolls, a: 10 min drive from Fairfax 20 min drive from Point Reyes Station 35 min from Bolinas/Stinson beaches 45 min drive from San Francisco 30 min - 1 hour drive from Wine Country The space The house is an open concept 2 bedroom 2 bath with brand new hardwood flooring throughout. The living room flows seamlessly into the kitchen, which features new stainless steel appliances, an island with bar seating, and a dining nook. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed, and custom closets. The back bedroom includes an en suite bathroom with a soaking tub. The house is very sunny, but also comes with light blocking shades on virtually every window, giving you the option to sleep in as long as you want. We have central heating, controlled by a wall thermostat. NOTE: We do NOT have air conditioning. Relax on our back patio, which boasts an outdoor dining table and two chaise lounges. Multiple trailheads begin just steps from our house, making it the perfect stay for hiking or mountain biking enthusiasts. We have wifi, and a 55 inch smart TV where you can log into the streaming service(s) of your choice. Guest access The house: You will have access to the entire house, front yard, and back patio. The Property: Unless you rent it as well, you will not have access to the studio cottage next to the house, which is also used as an airbnb unit. We ask that guests also not venture past the back patio, and into the back garden/cottage deck, as that space is reserved for the other rental. **We encourage larger groups (maximum 6 guests) to rent both spaces, and enjoy the entire property together!** Parking: guests park in front of the house, on the street. There are "no parking" signs on the fence-- disregard them! We ask that guests not park in front of the driveway gate. Stairs: While there are no stairs in the house itself, there are ~8 stairs leading up to each entrance of the house. There are two entrances (one in the front, and one off of the kitchen). The property manager will meet you at the house to check you in, walk you through the house, and answer any questions you might have. She is available during business hours by phone/text for any questions or issues that may arise! NOTE: While we love a good party, if you are looking for a spot to throw one, our house is NOT that spot. We love our neighbors and want to be respectful of our peaceful and tranquil neighborhood. Other things to note There is a second rental unit on this property. It is a studio that sleeps 2 people, and has its own semi private outdoor areas. It may or may not be rented at the time of your stay. We encourage larger groups (maximum 6 guests) to rent both spaces, and enjoy the entire property together! We love dogs and allow one per party! A second dog will be considered upon request. There is a pet fee that will be assessed, so please add your pet as a guest when booking. Please try to keep dogs off of furniture and beds. Unfortunately, we are not insured to rent to Pitbulls and cannot have them stay with us.
