I lead a design agency and have been living in London for more than 15 years. I've turned my lounge into like a design studio with my books and prints to get those creative juices flowing since I moved in. Feel free to get inspired while you stay. I enjoy connecting with like minded people who share my interests, and I'm happy to give you some insider tips about London if you're up for it. Of course, if you prefer to explore the city at your own pace, that's totally cool too. Everything in the flat is yours to use – from the oven to the dishes and the comfy furniture in the living room. And if you need to do laundry, there's a washing machine tucked away in the storage area. The flat gets plenty of natural light thanks to large south facing windows, and there is a balcony to enjoy as well. Most London homes do not have air conditioning, but the room has a 30 inch tower fan to keep things comfortable in summer. Your bedroom looks onto a typical local warehouse, which is part of the neighbourhood’s character. Make yourself at home, let the creativity flow, and enjoy your time in this lively city. Guest access My place is located on the 3rd floor, but don’t worry about using the stairs. There are 2 building entrances equipped with automatic doors (no need to push or pull), and 2 lifts are available for your convenience within the building. About the local area, Hackney Wick As you saw my pictures here, Hackney Wick is home to artist studios in former industrial spaces, graffiti art, cute cafes, and creative eateries, with micro breweries and bars along the River Lee canal. All of my guests told me they loved the vibe here - green spaces, water, pubs, music and food! East Londoners' favourite green space, 'Victoria Park' is next to the flat and The Here East business centre in the 'Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park' houses hip restaurants and startups. Plus Olympic sports venues nearby include the Olympic Stadium, now home to West Ham United soccer team, Lee Valley Velopark for cycling and London Aquatics Centre for swimming. There is a supermarket right in front of the house, a huge shopping mall, Westfield Stratford City (17mins walk). Transportation From Heathrow Airport: Superfast Elizabeth Line is linked from the airport direct to Stratford Station. Get off Stratford and walk 18 mins or take a bus 339 to my home. From Kings Cross St Pancras: Take Victoria Line to Highbury & Islington then change to Overground towards Hackney Wick. (take 38mins in total) Stations near Erica's Home Hackney Wick Station: 8 mins walk (10mins to Dalston) Stratford Station: 18 mins walk (25mins to central London) Pudding Mill Lane Station: 12 mins walk (10 mins to Canary Wharf) Bow Road Station: 23 mins walk (35mins to West London) 2-3 Bus stations: 1 min - 8mins walk away (Bus 8 takes 18mins to Shoreditch) During your stay Stay connected with me a day before and 1 hour before the arrival – I will greet you in person. I love to connect with like-minded people. I always had great Airbnb experiences and I simply it is brilliant. Other things to note House Notes 1. Unregistered guests are not permitted in the flat at ‘ANYTIME’ for everyone’s peace of mind (and insurance!) 2. The entire house is strictly shoe-free. 3. All the rooms share a thin wall. Please keep things quiet between 10 pm–8 am (calls, cooking etc) 4. In winter, long stays might include a small utility top-up (hot water & electricity). Little tip: keep windows closed while the heating’s on—your warmth won’t escape. 5. There’s a roomy desk in your bedroom. After 6 pm the lounge retires from “office” duty and becomes a chill zone. 6. If you plan to cook during your stay, Please bring your own ingredients. (I provide veg oil, salt and pepper). 7. No parties, no smoking, no drugs—just a calm, comfy space to enjoy.
