We love our little waterfront retreat. Here, a holiday atmosphere prevails year-round with views of the water with boats, kayaks, SUP and bathers in summer and winter. For us, it is the perfect recreational oasis in the city with the most beautiful nature right outside the door, and easy access to the water via the swimming bridge. At the same time, there is plenty of city life on Aarhus Island with theater, cafes, restaurants, shopping and water sports just around the corner. The apartment is on 2 floors with a private entrance and views of the bay and Ris Skoven. The space This part of the Lighthouse building, at the tip of Aarhus Island, is newly built and was completed in 2022. In 2023, the building was awarded a prize as the world's most beautiful high-rise 100-200 meters. From December 1, 2023, it is possible to buy access to the Aarhus Øje experience center and enjoy the view from the top of the tower, visit the interactive exhibition at the bottom of the tower, and book a table at one of the 2 BAVN restaurants, located at the top and bottom of the tower. The apartment is located at the opposite end of the building of the experience center. The apartment is on the ground floor with its own entrance and small terrace in front, about 30 meters from the water, with views of the water from all rooms. Ground floor - here you enter the high-ceilinged room with an open space to the 1st floor. On the ground floor, there is a kitchen in oak veneer with lacquered concrete floors. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine for capsules. In connection with the kitchen, there is a dining area for 4 people. On the ground floor, there is also a bathroom with shower and washing machine. 2nd floor - solid steel staircase leads to the 2nd floor with raw concrete walls and wooden floors. Here you will find sleeping alcoves with a double bed 160 cm wide in open connection with the living room, where there is a sofa bed with a size of 160 cm in width. There is underfloor heating throughout the apartment. The apartment looks new. Bed linen, towels and shampoo are available and included in the price. The swimming bridge diagonally opposite the apartment provides direct access to the bay. Swimwear is available in the apartment. There is also access to the common courtyard, where there are green areas, bicycle parking and playground. There is paid parking in the parking garage under the building. Århus Ø also offers a lot of beautiful architecture, delicious restaurants and many activities. At Bassin 7, you will find the harbor bath and cable car, which is definitely worth a visit, as well as the old marina and the international sailing center at the end of the Promenade. Groceries can be purchased at Føtex at Bassin 7. Aarhus Ø also offers a wealth of good restaurants and coffee bars. Guest access As a guest, you have access to the entire apartment. Other things to note There is no crib or high chair in the apartment. If you are traveling with children, please be aware that the apartment is not childproof, there are open stairs between the floors, the front door is always open from the inside, and the apartment is very close to the water. We therefore encourage children to always be supervised :)
