Lakeside Studio with hot tub, kayaks and canoe

Get away from it all at our peaceful and immaculate studio apartment nestled in the trees just steps from pristine Green Lake. Enjoy 200' of gorgeous waterfront on two lovely acres. We are on a well maintained unpaved road with little traffic. The space In the "Loon's Nest", you'll find a comfortable queen sized bed that looks out on the lake. If you're an early riser, you can watch the sunrise from bed, but the door and windows all have blinds to lower if you plan to sleep in or nap. A microwave, small fridge, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, dishes and silverware are provided for light meal preparation. You have access to a gas barbecue grill and a 6 person hot tub as well. WiFi is provided. Guest access There are the two kayaks and a 15’ canoe available at the water's edge with life jackets provided. We have a large hot tub beneath our deck for your enjoyment. Read and relax in the large hammock at the water’s edge or simply watch the leaves above you sway in the breeze. Take a long walk if you like. Swim in clean clear water at the end of our dock, where you can see 12 feet to the bottom. Green Lake is considered one of the premier lakes in Maine, with spring fed depths of up to 180 feet. Our dock is unusually spacious, with 2 Adirondack chairs at the end and two lounge chairs closer in. There are also additional lounge chairs on the lawn, providing plenty of places to relax. Other things to note If you decide to check out the area, Ellsworth is 15 minutes away. It has just about everything you might need or want: a main street with a small town feel, gift shops, restaurants, a theater, laundromat, a health food store, an LLBean outlet store, and large grocery stores to pick up necessities. Quaint villages like Blue Hill, Surry, and Castine are all within 20-40 minutes of our location and the city of Bangor is a half hour to our north. The entrance to Acadia National Park is 35-40 minutes away, and has 45 miles of carriage trails to bike on without road traffic and gorgeous hiking trails that wind along the ocean or reach amazing views. You can rent bikes or sea kayaks at several locations if desired. You might decide to drive to the top of Mt. Cadillac for a spectacular view, go whale watching, drive the scenic park loop road, or enjoy charming towns like Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, and Northeast Harbor.
