Lisa's Dog-Friendly Sequoia Getaway ( no pet fees)
Lisa's Dog-Friendly Sequoia Getaway ( no pet fees)
Description
Welcome to my getaway where well-behaved dogs and their owners are welcome. I am three miles from the Sequoia National Park. My getaway is nestled amidst oak trees with hammocks, lounge chairs, and a fenced yard for you and your dog to enjoy. (No cats) Guests are responsible for checking openings/closings of park road and weather conditions. I am walking distance to stores, the brewery, and coffee shops. I can recommend local dog-friendly hikes. Dogs should be friendly and house trained. The space The space is attached to the bottom of my house, with its own private entrance, bathroom, fenced in area for dogs. ( no dog fees ever! After all dogs are people, too!) I live upstairs. Room has a queen sized bed. There is one other airbnb unit on the far side of a connecting hallway, but space is completely private. You will walk from the driveway around the side of my house and through a white picket fence down to the unit. Not a full kitchen. Outdoor sink and hot plate. The space is equipped with a medium-sized fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee bar. OK for cooking simple meals, but nothing fancy. Guest access My place is dog friendly. So, if you don't like dogs or are allergic to them, this may not be the right place for you. I have a dog, Ali, who will be your new best friend if you give him back scratches. People come from all over the world to see the big trees. But, the town of Three Rivers is a magical place. It is an eclectic little town with loads of artists, writers, and musicians. I came for the weekend 28 years ago and never left. The downtown area is within walking distance from my place. In addition to all of the local amenities, you'll also get a taste of the sights and sounds of country life, including deer, wild turkeys, as well as neighborhood's chickens and roosters. Guests are responsible for checking parks' website to look for road openings/closures. As far as other local sights and activities, there's lots to do! If you're interested in the local drum circle, getting your dog's portrait painted, meeting local potters, learning about welding, cooking, or karaoke, I can point you in the right direction. Just let me know! Other things to note Please keep in mind that the Sequoia National Park does not allow dogs on trails. So, you may want to leave your dog at the getaway. That's fine with me, as long as your dog is well-mannered and housebroken. I have a small outdoor kitchen, suited for cooking small meals.
