Description

Waituhi (Glowing Waters) sits within lush gardens and temperate rainforest just above the wild Tasman Sea. With stunning views in a dreamlike setting, you will instantly relax & recharge. One of only three homes sharing private Whitehorse Bay, it's perfect if you want a beach all to yourself. Step through the garden onto one of the Coast's most scenic and undiscovered beaches. Enjoy glowing sunsets and wild West Coast storms. Wrapped in nature ~ This is 'end of the earth' escapism at its best! The space Enjoy experiencing the wild and scenic, untouched beauty of the West Coast all from the comfort of a warm, comfortable home perched above Whitehorse Bay. You'll soon forget the rest of the world exists... and like me, you may not want to leave. HELP SAVE THE PENGUINS - A portion of every booking from our six West Coast baches is donated to the West Coast Penguin Trust. $14,196.00 has been donated so far (as of March 2026). The penguins thank you! Guest access Guests have access to the entire home and can enjoy complete privacy. We probably won't meet but I am always available via email, airbnb chat, iMessage, what'sapp or email. Free fast wifi is provided. Other things to note The nearest shops and petrol are 30 minutes north at Westport or 45 minutes south at Greymouth - be sure to stock up on supplies and fuel before you arrive. Sandflies are plentiful on the West Coast, however, for your comfort windows are fitted with insect screens. There is no cell reception at the house - the nearest cell reception is at the end of the drive or just down the road. Sometimes you can text from the deck. Free fast satellite WiFi is provided. There is also Netflix and Freeview TV, listen to radio via the TV. WATER SUPPLY: this is rain-water from the roof and is not treated in any way - we always drink straight from the tap but you may wish to bring bottled water for drinking.
