The home features peaceful mountain/woods views from all 33 windows, enormous boulders and rock outcroppings everywhere, abundant wildlife, visible stars at night, and crisp, clean air to breathe. The space ***** A 4-wheel drive vehicle is REQUIRED during snow season (late Sep-early May); the last 18 miles, even when plowed and sanded, can be challenging for any other vehicle type. A minivan and most cross-overs are NOT 4-wheel drives. Close enough to the city, but still far enough away…to get away. Stay here on your ski trip, your concert at Red Rocks, with your college friends for the big game, or just to curl up by the fire and let your worries fade away. Red Rocks Retreat is a newly-updated 2-story house with a lower level 2-car attached garage. There is plenty of free parking and an upper driveway leading to a 1-step entrance into the house that even our 86-year-old parents can navigate with ease. The entire property is yours to enjoy and explore, with no other guests and no shared spaces! Top things to love about Red Rocks Retreat: 1. Mountains are everywhere you look; the scenery is amazing and it’s quiet and peaceful 2. Large and spacious house with enough places to enjoy alone time as well. 3. You haven’t lived until you’ve hot tubbed outdoors while it’s snowing! Top challenges about Red Rocks Retreat: 1. Cell phone coverage is available but is not great. We recommend embracing this and just staying unplugged; but if you must, you can always just enable WiFi calling on your phone (our WiFi is great!). We have instructions onsite for how to do this or you can do it in advance. 2. No paid TV service is provided. We do have 2 large screen smart TV’s and you are welcome to login to your individual accounts (such as Netflix or Hulu) to watch your favorite shows. We recommend turning off the TVs and enjoying each other and the surrounding nature. Main Level • Living room with couch, sitting chair, recliner, and pellet stove • Large dining area with sweeping mountain views to the north/northeast • Huge game room with 2 couches (2nd living room) and a 70” TV, a pub table and chairs, a game table with seating for 6, a foosball table, an arcade with over 40,000 video games pre-loaded (yes, really!), a poker table, and many games, puzzles and coloring books/supplies • Well-equipped kitchen and smaller dining area with huge picture windows and skylight • Bedroom #1, king bed, 50" TV, sitting chair. • Play room/Office: 2 tables with chairs and a sitting couch • Bathroom #1, shower, dual sinks, plenty of space for everyone’s toiletries • Laundry room with oversized washer and dryer and tons of storage for your groceries and other items • Exits leading to the garage, front porch sitting space, outdoor hot tub and large dining space, and back porch with a gas grill and cozy sitting space surrounded by the woods Upper Level • Bedroom #2 is a *large* bedroom (over 400 square feet), 2 king beds, 2 couches, a reading nook, office space with desk/monitor/printer, and still enough room to setup the included massage table! Large deck off this room with sitting space and views of the city to the east and the mountains to the north. • Bedroom #3, the bunk room – 1 king bed and a bunk bed and sitting bench • Bathroom #2, shower, dual sinks, plenty of space for everyone’s toiletries Additional Considerations • Hosts consider it our honor to provide a 5-Star stay for every guest; we take this very seriously and are available for whatever you may need • 4WD vehicles and winter tires are required for Colorado visits during the winter months • Smart locks are installed so you can check-in and check-out with ease • As with most mountain properties, there is no A/C installed here; the nights are cool in the mountains and most people find that they don’t need A/C. However, most of the windows open and the ones that do have a screen to keep the bugs out. Also, a tower fan is provided in every room, and a ceiling fan is in the game room. • Many extras are provided onsite for infants and toddlers, including a bathing tub, highchair, Pack ‘n Play, stroller, safety gate, and safety locks on all exterior doors. • Please note that pictures may not represent all updated furnishings and décor Guest access Smart locks are installed at every entry door and access codes will be provided prior to check-in and we are happy to setup any 4-digit code requested.
